WildPeak AT4W thoughts/opinions?

I called Discount Tire today to get a order going and they told me it will be 90 days. I've got a backorder for it but might just get some Toyo AT3s if the Falkens aren't in by the time my wheels/springs arrive.
Thats crazy. I have 3 mounted tires, and now onto a 3 months wait to use the set😂

I’m curious how you will like the AT4W once you’re able to try them out. Like you, I am a die hard Toyo AT3 fan and haven’t really considered any other tire to run on my truck other than the AT4W

I need a tire that handles awesome in wet weather being in FL. All of my research is telling me to get a set of KO3s. They came stock on my 24 Silverado 2500 High Country and I liked them a lot. Still undecided but leading in the direction of the BFG.

I have the AT4s on my truck now. I like them a lot and will probably stick with them when it’s time for new shoes. I have had them in almost every condition except really deep mud and they preforms flawlessly. Well almost every condition . I’m not a rock crawler but between rain, snow, gravel, slick mud I’m a fan boy. This set is my first set of Falken tires and they have handled everything I have gone through well.

I’m running 35s on aftermarket wheels with basically stock suspension (I have Fox HTO shocks) and when it’s time to replace tires I plan on leveling and going 37s

How do you like the HTO's compared to stock? I have a buddy who said he bought Kings and they are not as smooth as the stocks.

For the price of admission the Fox HTOs are great. There was definitely a noticeable difference in ride. The HTOs eat up daily bumps easily.

I have no real experience with the high dollar KINGS or Fox Elites and for my purposes don’t really need them. When I am off road I’m usually going fairly slow driving dirt roads to my hunting or fishing grounds.

My plan is to level and when I do I might go with KINGs from Accutune or a complete ICON package but I am also thinking of just sticking with the HTOs when level just because I don’t necessarily need a reservoir shock because I’m not racing through the desert and don’t plan to be.

Anyways for the the money I think they are perfect for my needs. I previously had the bilstiens 5100 on a different truck and I think the 2.5” HTOs are much better and don’t cost $2000+

Excited to get these Goodyear POS tires off my truck. Ordered from Discount Tire the 285X75X18 Falkens that will be installed next Tuesday. Using my Avants membership to get 10% off.

Going to cost me $374/tire :)

I know that you, in particular, like to create your own threads on any topic, without checking forum history😉

But in just case you’re interested what other think of Falken AT4W, there is a thread full on information and opinions on it already.

Nah...just trying to piss you off @Alpoba :ROFLMAO: I am a rebel without a cause. Thanks for posting. The mods can delete it @modified.

Ordered mine yesterday and they will be installed on Tuesday...something doesn't sound right here.

All good, ask DT for a report to see how your tires balanced. My installer that does road force balancing on every tire told me they were not overly happy with the numbers from Wildpeaks. They were 7,8,20 and 42. <25 is acceptable, over 25 should not be mounted on a truck. I’m one tire short right now for a complete set, and they are on national backorder. But mine are 37/12.50/18.

Same thing here man my guy had a hell of a time trying to get them balanced, can’t remember where I ordered from to be honest it was 2 years ago I ordered tires and wheels and the balance was so far off from where the came from it was ridiculous

Not understanding how they can be on national back order when DT, Tirerack, and several other tire sources I’ve found locally and online all them in stock for immediate delivery?

$374 a tire!? Damn those are expensive! 🤪

It's what I put on when my Toyo rts wore out. So far I like them. They make the front end feel a bit light and twitchy but that could also be because I had drag link bushing and an alignment done at the same time.

285 seems small. Are you in a non-tremor?

I put a set on my ‘22 in original/stock size back in January. I have been very happy with them across the board (ride, handling, ranch road performance, far less road noise, etc.). I hope your experience is the same.

I did say 37/12.50/18, you missed it. Other sizes are available.
I would love to go 37's, but the wife is 5' tall and already struggles to get into my stock Tremor with the retractable running boards...any added height would be a cause for her to file for divorce:oops:

The backorder is specific to the new size 37/12.5/18, not to AT4Ws in general.
