WildPeak AT4W thoughts/opinions?

Agreed. 1,000%.

Good year has a great marketing team.

But their tires suck ass.

In fact, the wife called me yesterday after hydroplaning in her expedition.

Guess what tires it has.......?

NOT FOR LONG.

Even thighthe GY whatever model they are are barely worn, they're fucking GONEZO!!!! New Falken at trails already on order.

This will be her 3rd set in a row. They are amazing tires as well.

IMO, Falken doesn't make a bad tire, and Good Year doesn't make a single good one.

Y'all guys can talk about snow all you like, but until you've lived in a place like this....View attachment 266548
You just don't know.

You may have to drive in snow.

But you don't have to drive in snow over treacherous 12,000ft mountain passes going straight down hill.

I've been driving up here for 30 years and like to think I've got some experience behind my tire opinions.

I will never buy another set that don't say Toyo or Falken on them.

Asked about Baja Bosses, but they're now owned by Good Year. So..... no thank you.

The ATs are all on back order anyway. Except the Ridge grapplers, which i have zero interest in.
I've lived from Alaska, Wyoming Montana and Idaho. I think I know a thing or two about driving and hauling in snow. Absolutely nothing wrong with good year tires. You got a bad set or money burning holes in your pocket.

You're allowed an opinion.

It's different than mine.

That's ok.

But I must say. You have better taste in trucks, than you do in tires.

🍻

My back yard view - and I have Falken WildPeak AT4’s on my truck. Two years in and they’ve been good to me.

Just talked to Discount Tire again, and they called Falken. The Falken rep said they're still on a minimum 90-day backorder (specifically the 37x12.50 R 18). Which is the same thing they have been saying since June. I still have tread left on my factory tires, but these KMCs have been sitting in my house for months now. I might just have to pick different tires.

If you can't get access to the Falkens, get the TOYO AT3 as they are your next best option.

Honestly, these AT4s aren't blowing me away. They are good tires, quiet on road, ride decent for what they are, but wet traction is not wonderful. I'll be curious to see how they do this winter in snow and slush but I'm already contemplating what my next tire will be but I doubt it will be these.

According to independent testing, out of all of the tires, the AT4W are the best in wet weather. I am in FL and get a TON of rain and very heavy rain. I had Toyo AT3 on my 2024 Silverado HD and the Goodyear car that came stock on my Tremor. The AT4W have the best ride and best traction of the three this far.

I have Toyo AT3s on my F150, and I am not impressed at all with wet traction. Given, that is a different truck, but I have been disappointed for sure. No issues with tractions in other conditions, though.

I can say that, on a HD truck, the AT4W have performed better than my AT3s.

Interesting. Maybe I'm just having weird luck. My truck has broke traction, fish tailed and slid completely off road coming out of turns on wet roads multiple times. Almost like I'm on ice. And no I'm not gassing it or speeding. Maybe just bad luck. I dunno.

I feel like there's low speed wet traction and then high speed.
Low speed my RT pros are ok, but can break loose on 90 degree turns or at a stop light in the rain.
Heavy rain on the highway? Track straight and can brake well/handle lane swering in case of idiots. I have full confidence at 60-80 mph with those tires in FL heavy rains. Seem to do a great job dispersing water at speed to prevent hydroplaning.

Owner input: I've got the 35x12.50R18 AT4Ws on my 2026 Tremor and I'm happy with them. I keep all four at 60 psi, and on a Super Duty I'll take that. It still feels like a truck, just with a great-looking tire on it.
