WildPeak AT4W thoughts/opinions?

Rotations, proper alignment, rotate every 5k. Other factors will kill tires. My wife got 100k on a set of Michelin defenders on her Tahoe. Highway miles, rotate every oil change. Stopping, turning often and towing allot will kill tires.
I rotate every 4-5k and my trucks are always in alignment I never have uneven wear more often than not the tires are wore perfectly even just within 20k they’re shot

What tires? I used to go through BFG KO2s every 25k miles. The stock duracraps lasted me 45k miles on this truck and now have the Falken AT4 on my truck. I have around 25k miles on them now and last time I got rotated I was still at 50% tread. I drive my truck like a race car too. I have toes much with these tires (maybe 1000 miles so far) and do a lot of highway but I expect to get another 20k miles before I replace. I have been rotating around every 10k miles

All of them lol whatever stocks come on ram 2500’s then of course the stock tremor duratracks but I’ve also tried Toyo mt’s and AT3’s Toyo did the best about 20k well no falken at3w’s did about the same the at4w’s I didn’t have long enough I sold them nitto ridge graps were garbage 16-17k like I said every tire I’ve used on a 3/4 ton truck I get 16-20k that’s it and that’s no hauling I’ve done chalk tests and played with air pressures all that 🤷‍♂️

Can you get that 37 on stock tremor wheels with stock suspension?

I’m getting a set to go along with my toyo at3 37/12.50/18s.

The reason it took Falken so long to release AT4W 37/12.50/18s in particular is because they had to figure out how to bring the weight down to compete with a 71lbs AT3 37/12/50s. They started out at a whooping 79 lbs and worked the tire down to 72.7, which is within 2 lbs of AT3 in the same size. Yet the Falkens are 3 ply sidewall and slightly wider.

And now AT4W are selling at near $100 less than AT3s in this size. Right now their going rate is $390 each.

So i gave up on trying to chaise down rt pro 38/11.50/18 and decided on these falkens instead.
Curious here as I am in full tire analysis mode:

1) Reason for not just sticking with the Toyo (other than price)?
2) Related to the above, you've done all the research on fitting your 37" spare, are you going to stick with the Toyo as the spare or try and fit the Falken?

I am a huge Toyo fanboy (last 2 sets on previous truck were AT3's). All terrains are definitely the right tread for my use case but the AT3 sidewall is kinda bland looking, and I like that the Falken has an R speed rating so this could be the Goldilocks "Just Right" tire I am looking for if a fullsize spare would fit under the hitch (stock Lariat wheels have really grown on me so plan would be run OEMs for now).

I like having two sets of wheels and tires to switch between. That’s the only reason. Otherwise I’m perfectly happy with toyo at3s. They have been great for the last 20K miles. If i only had to have one set, it would probably be toyo at3s, but will see if that stance changes with at4w:-)

For the second set, at first i was considering toyo rt pro 38/11.50/18 on stock suspension, but given their price and possible fitment issues, i decided against it.

For the spare, you’re right, i’ll just keep the toyo 37 where it’s at now. I’m almost certain these fatter and taller AT4Ws won’t fit into the spare carrier.

The only other issue with AT4Ws on stock wheels /suspension is that they will almost certainly rub on the sway bar where toyo at3s clear. But i already decided to remove the sway bar completely for daily driving so that takes care of the only fitment issue.

If i didn’t have AT3s 37 but some other fatter 37 tires, knowing what i know now i would still have gotten one AT3 on an oem wheel as my spare. Essentially i’m going to be doing just that with these Falkens.

Makes sense, the Falkens do seem to measure out on the larger side/truer to size than others. Im conflicted as my OCD would bug me not having the same tread but that's better than a lot of builds you see on social media running $8k worth of tires and wheels and still have the stock 275/70r18 spare hanging out under the hitch.

My plan is to order a set of 4 tires (still leaning Toyo) and test fit one up in the spare location and if it fits order an extra tire and a 5th OEM wheel off Ebay to install at the first rotation. Otherwise just wait until that set is worn a bit and toss the best looking tire onto the spare rim and call it good.

The 37s require a level to fit without rubbing? Or would some proper offset wheels make it work?

I like that the AT4Ws dont stick out as much as the old RTs did. Clean look IMHO.

I cannot tell you for sure but mine are 35x12.5x18 and they clear the plastic trim by about 1/4” when they were brand new.the 37’s might rub but I’m not 100%. I’m assuming you have a MY23 or newer truck. If so look at the Toyota AT3 in 37s they are known to clear stock trucks in that size

Forgot to mention my wheels have a 6mm offset so they are not the stock wheels either

Mine are 37x12.5x18 on +12 wheels and I have no rubbing. Do note, Falken recommends a minimum 8.5" wide wheel, so it is not advisable to use your stock Tremor wheels if they are 8". Toyo AT3 says 8" is OK.

That recommendation means nothing and could be ignored when it comes to 1/2 inch rim difference.

Depends almost entirely on what year your truck is and your wheel offset:

2020-2022: will rub the radius arms and swaybar on OEM wheels, and will have to trim if you go with a lower offset than +18MM

2023+: most 37x12.5's will fit on OEM wheels, but you may get some ever so slight rubbing on the swaybar depending on how aggressive the sidewall is (ie. probably will rub with the Falken in question), and you'll have more flexibility to run a lower offset before having to trim
