FYI - hoping to have the route plans finalized this week. The route isnt the hard part. Its figuring out the timing of where we are going to be, where to do lunch, and then making it work assuming slow med fast and highway speeds.
I'll share the files via a DM for those who are on the confirmed list so... make sure your name is on there if you're going.

We might end up sneaking in Oark General store on Friday lunch. Saturday is going to be a full day.

Alright, everythings pretty much been finalized.

My focus for this trip is to balance trail time with chill time. I've done my best to determine how fast i think we'll roll and am aiming for about ~6 hours of trail time so we can spend the rest enjoying being together/not at work. If we do go much faster than expected i have some additional routes we can take but they will be maintained FSRs to some decent overlooks.

Here's the quick layout on food:
Thursday supper: on your own
Friday breakfast: on your own
Friday lunch: Oark General Store
Friday supper: Taco Bar at camp
Saturday breakfast: on your own (Oark General Store is an option as well)
Saturday lunch: on the trail
Saturday supper: S&S Grillhouse (Clarksville) or Arkansas Brewing Company (Ozark) - we can decide as a group.

The idea behind the taco bar is to maximize the amount of time we have to together and cut down on windshield time

Here's what we'll need for roughly 15 people:

• Ground beef - @OmahaBravo
• HEB Flour tortillas - @ccradier
• Taco shells
• Shredded lettuce - @OmahaBravo
• shredded cheese - @ccradier
• taco sauce/hot sauce/salsa - @Toxophilite
• sour cream - @OmahaBravo
• diced tomatoes - @Mister Bevilaqua
• diced onions - @Mister Bevilaqua
• prepared cilantro - @Mister Bevilaqua
• refried beans/black beans (HEB sells some in pouches?) - @ccradier
• HEB Tortilla chips
• Mexican Rice?

Drinks will be BYO.

For dessert @that_Kyle_guy and I are going to make dutch oven cobbler.

We will need some redneck china along with some paper towels and utensils. Let me know who can bring these. If you have an onboard fridge, let those that dont have one have the ability to call dibs on these first.

Post up what you'll bring and i'll update this post (and link it on the main post) so its centralized and easy to find.

Right now I know of 10 people that are coming. but i dont know if you or @Mister Bevilaqua are bringing someone with you? I assume @TellurideTremor and @Godzilla/Tremornator and @FuelTankReInforcedSkidPlt are going to be solo.
I'd say 20-30 tortillas (b/c they are amazing), 1-2# of shredded cheese and enough refried beans for at least 8 people.

Oh! We wont have an indoor area to congregate. Im hoping to have a fire but there is nowhere indoors for us to congregate.

If you are reading this, plan to attend and your name isnt on the confirmed list (post #76), please post and let me know. Sometime in early Feb i'm going to DM the confirmed list and share the trail files. I only mapped them on Gaia. If I need to whip something up in OnX I can.

Super appreciate the offer but I planned on making the taco meat before the trip so all we have to do is heat it up. Make it simple so if it is cold or raining (or both) we're not miserable eating.

Just a standard ice chest in the truck, sold the fridge/freezer with the Cruiser. But I booked a cabin at Turners Bend, so I'll have the fridge/freezer in the room as well.

i know it's a month out but looks below normal but tolerable

rain 1/4 in to 1/2 in a couple of days before. guessin the means the water holes will be full??????

might have to foam seal my doors. remote open my windows so i can just climb in and out.

I'm still at the point where I cannot commit to a specific day. Probably wouldn't be able to do anything until Saturday or Sunday. The most likely scenario for me would be to drive down Saturday and catch up with you guys on Saturday afternoon or evening to hang out wherever you guys wind up. I will have a better idea around 25th. Still would like to try to be a part of this in some form or fashion.
