The tow chain points are not meant for constant load, the receiver hitch is. The tow hitch points are designed for emergency use only. Everything I have ever read or seen regarding recovering from the rear says not to use the tow chain points. Will it work, probably, but I believe the experts who say not to use them. I have a hitch receiver recovery point with me, and I will bet others do as well. Again, hopefully we will not need it.

All the Amazon recovery points i cpuld get in time look super cheap and scary lol. Lmk what you think. Im pretty self sufficient but I dont want to make anyone uncomfortable or put them in dangerous situations if I do need a tug

In all seriousness - The reason most people carry recovery gear is to help others out as well as having themselves covered, myself included. I know I will happily lend you my recovery point if needed, and I am sure anyone else who is there with one will do the same. I always carry more recovery gear than I probably need, and I am sure others will have some as well. I am happy to lend/use it to help anyone out that needs it.

Perfect, ill bring my regular setup, and if the decision is made that's is not adequate we'll collaborate and ill make it up to you. Ive yet to use my recovery gear for my own vehicle. Ditto on the "its for others" notion.

This can work too, but again, it is not ideal. With the hitch recovery point, it moves the load to the shear strength of the pin. If you put a soft shackle around it, you can bend the pin and pull it through, especially on larger receivers.

If youre having issues on mobile... I opened it on my pc without issue, exported it as a .gpx, sent to my phone, mobile map is showing all detail now.

Well......I just landed back in Missouri after 10 days in California. One of our guys hit a pedestrian with his work truck last week and is currently on suspension. The person is ok though. Hitting a ped usually ends in termination which means I'll be taking up some of the slack. My work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday but I rarely work Saturdays because I get everything done by Friday. They have already asked me to work Saturday which leads me to believe that my friend will be fired tomorrow. It sucks because this was to be the closest meet up to where I live. I'm afraid I have to sit this one out. So sorry. Bummed.

Updated depths as of this post
NOTE: a good amount of precip occurred this past weekend in this area. Most of was near I40 explaining the deeper depths for the southern stations on this list (the last three). All but those are still under the depths I saw when i was here last April.
Right now, things are shaping up to be a great few days of wheelin

Buffalo near Ponca: 3.5' (4.7') - 4.05'
Buffalo near Boxley: 1.9' (3') - 2.55'
Frog Bayou: 2.7 (3.8') - 3.32
Mulberry River: 1.4' (2.9') - 2.6'
Spadra Creek: 2.7' (3.1') - 3.36'
Little Piney: 2.4' (3.1') - 3.32'

I'm cool with meeting up in Joplin or Bentonville or Miami for a meet and greet just to have dinner. Not sure where you are in Oklahoma. All of those above destinations are a quick jaunt for me from whichever house I'm at that weekend.
