2023+ ForScan Spreadsheet

Intel? nah.. AMD works the best :)
OMG now we're going down the nerd rabbit hole - started IT as desktop guy on help desk with Windows 3.1 ->NT4.0 ~30 years later retired to become wife's tech support 🤪

You probably have the same opinion of AMD as I do, then 😂

Loading Windows for Workgroups 3.1.1 on floppies was quite a pain.

Man does this bring back painful memories. I've never been much of a software guy (hats off to you guys) but dabbled in repair of the leading systems in the microcomputing world with Intel development systems. Back then the big four processors were Intel, Zilog, AMD, and soon, Motorola which were used in HP equipment. Funny thing was though; Intel made the system to emulate many of the others. Intel, I believe was the first microprocessor in a chip in 1971.

Does anyone remember 8" floppies with hard and soft sector versions? Paper tape printers and readers? (Teletype)

A trip down memory lane. It had to start somewhere. (Actually, started well before this)

better yet NT4.0 from 4 floppies then having to update and not blow it up with the video drivers now we're really down the "Back in the Day," rabbit hole:ROFLMAO:

Really going down memory lane 🤪 Radio Shack and Tandy along with 8" floopies which will certainly go a long way to satisfy @Optimus🤖 's love of flopies

First off, thanks for being a great resource for this forum.

Took delivery of my 2025 and plugged it in and started making changes based on this spreadsheet. I have three questions based on the results.

Disregard. - Solved. 1. Compass Enable on IPC - 720.01.01 - As built string was 2F08.0004.50B4. Changed to 2F08.0004.90XX. Was expecting to see a compass pop up somewhere on the IPC display, but no luck?

Disregard - Solved. - Select Detailed View in truck. 2. Temps on Gauges - 720.07.01 - Was expecting this to put temperatures under the small mini-gauges on top of the IPC, but on reading as built string of 8408.OEA8.0B7C, it looks from the sheet like it should already have it as 6th character is already "E" for "Turbo/Brake Controller" which matches the vehicle (6.7 with brake controller). Any way to get the actual temp reading to display under the mini-gauges on the 2023+

3. Seatbelt Chimes - Disable All - 720.13.01/02 and 720.14.01/02. Changed all to zeros as indicated on spreadsheet and seatbelt warning disappeared as expected, BUT truck began throwing a DTC in the IPC of P160B:00-0A which is a configuration error related to "generator". Truck does have Pro-Power which I assume is what is meant by "Generator". Changed those lines back to the as-built settings and DTC disappeared. Searched through BCM plain english for any setting related to "generator" and nothing jumped out at me. Any thoughts or guidance?

You want a 12 pack of Texas IPA sent your way?

The total seatbelt does have the side effect of the generator mismatch. It on my list of things to try and resolve.

Thanks for the offer. May take you up as we travel back east !

Thanks for the info. I think I will zero them back out and live with DTC until more info comes along. Didn't seem to be any ill effects from it. Just need to remember to put back to as-built if it ever needs to go back to dealer. Less things those guys have to ask questions about the better.

Sorry if I missed it but is there a way to get the side view cameras to turn on when I use my turn signal? I know I can do it if I leave the trailer adapt plugged in but can I change it with forscan? Also is there a way to remove the seatbelt display that pops up when you don’t have a seatbelt on?

Absolutely for the seatbelts. My truck doesn't even know what a seatbelt is anymore

How do I remove the seatbelt display

I tried the same with the spreadsheet values and got the same pro error error when manually updating them. Changed them back and then used the plain english setting to disable the seatbelt chimes, etc. and it worked fine with no DTC on the pro power.

How do I change the tire size in forScan? I click on tire calculator and it gives me a message that says Sorry the file you have requested has been deleted. What do I need to change?
