2023+ ForScan Spreadsheet

So how do you change it to 48? When they installed my 58 gallon tank, they calibrated the gauge to 48 gallons. So on empty I have another 10 gallons. Would be great to calibrate DTE to 48 gallons.
My tank is installed and I changed the tank size to 48 gallons. You change it in plain English in Forescan. I also changed the liters to 181.7. When the tank is full, it shows about 700 miles for the DTE, but it stays at this number for a couple hundred miles and the tank shows full during this time (the 200 or so miles), once I get to about 700 miles actual DTE (about 48 gallons left in the tank), then the DTE seems to be accurate and drops with the fuel gauge. I have not had it even close to empty yet, so I cannot say what is left in the tank when the gauge says it’s empty.

Thanks! I have changed a number of things with Forescan. (Big thanks to Zoodad for the spreadsheet!!!) Can you please point me to the area where I change the setting to 48 gallons for the DTE?

You change it in the PCM. Once there in the module (not the as built) , scroll down and you will see your tank size in gallons and liters. Change them both. It’s not perfect, but it seems to be the best you can get it with the 23+ MY.

Ok all - I have finally confirmed with the Diesel Shop that they cannot change the DTE to calculate correctly from 60 gallons. This is what @ZooDad has been saying all along (Don’t question the Zoodad!) The best anyone can do right now is to have it calculate off 48 gallons. This is still an improvement, but there is no solution for 60 gallon calculations at this time for 23+ models.

So where and how do I change to the 48 gallon tank? I've been through all the codes and there's nothing that has tank size that I can find with forscan.

I have a 2025 450 Platinum... Loving it and gratefull for all of the information here!

Thanks everyone!

Im having an issue with the global close... Its only working with the front windows. Any suggestions?

I think you can do that in the regular truck settings menu. I could be wrong but I believe I saw it the other day when I was browsing it 🤷

I have read through this entire thread and did not see what I am looking for. I am new to this Forscan stuff. I do not have a Windows computer, all I have are my iPhone and iPad. What ODB connector should I buy? Also will I be able to change the same things I could change with a Windows computer?

After doing some more research it looks like in order to get the best benefits of Forscan I would need to get a Windows laptop and a compatible ODB connector.
Just about any cheap Windows laptop will do as long as it does not have an ARM processor and is not Windows “S mode.”

Yeah, I used a crappy 20+ year old one that the battery doesn't charge anymore. Just ran an extension cord out to the truck 😉🤣🤣

I grabbed a barebones windows 11 laptop off Amazon during Black Friday for $400 or so. It’s not fast but alllows me to run FORScan just fine.

I have an old Mac Mini laying around that I believe I can partition the hard drive on and load a Windows operating system on. I am going to see if I can do that then I should be good. I'll just have to tote that and a monitor out to the truck.

If it has an intel processor it should work.
I got the OBDLink MX+ from and like that it connects to my iPhone and iPad as well as a windowless computer.
Note that forscan doesn’t do much on the iPhone or iPad (which it seems like you figured out already).
For forscan you definitely need a Windows operating system on an Intel processor.

Intel? nah.. AMD works the best :)

Didn't have time to read through all 7 pages-- went to change the turn signal quick-trip from 3 to 5 flashes, but it doesn't work? 2025 F250-- ForScan will give an error about 30% of the way after writing.

Is this a known issue, or am I doing something wrong?

@Gizzygone
The issue is resolved in the soon to be released v2.3.66
