Picked up my 22 Takedown from the dealer yesterday. Looking forward to trying it out! 15 days for ATF approval.

15 days for a 10/22 hurts my soul

Excellent fun tho, did you get the magpul version?
22 Takedown Thunderbeast suppressor! Luckily we can still purchase and take non-NFA firearms with no wait. No background check if you have a ccw either.

Yeah! I was wonderin'! I was thinking, "wait a minute... there's something else NFA goin' on in HYEAH."

:ROFLMAO:

That's a very nifty piece and one I've wanted for some time. Have you seen the Magpul furniture for it?

I last year acquired the non-takedown Magpul stock for my lone 10-22.
The .22 rifle I enjoy most though is my 1951 Marlin 39A w/ a XS Sights Systems ghost ring setup.

Tugboat, a man after my own heart. 👍

I have a similar array of 1911s and single-action whirlinpoppers.

And lever carbines.

And...

😝
Oh my long guns just a few
Lever guns Marlin 1984 Uberti 1873
Modern rifles, M4 with ACOG. FN L1A1, Nemo Watchman (300 Win Mag), Nemo XO Carbon (6.5 Creedmoor)
Crowd pleaser, 🤪 a barn find Winchester 1897 mfg in 1922 original riot gun according to seller originally acquired from Chicago PD

Oh hell yeah. What’s the current wait times?

I got the call this weekend, it was two weeks.
That is not bad. Back in the good old days (circa 2018/2020), I had waits of 366 days and 333 days. Two person trust.

Did one in November and decided to just pay the tax vice wait. 36 hours.

I waited 9-10 months for mine. So dumb

Glad they got some rapidity now I guess

$0 stamps?

I Just can't.

It's not the $, it's the stamp that bothers me.
You're telling me removing extortion fees from the equation, which hilariously makes the NFA even more unconstitutional (lol), doesn’t make you feel all warm and fuzzy?

Essentially with no fee it’s now a registry which isn’t legal. Been waiting to see if FPC or anyone is going to tackle this.

Unfortunately for me I bought all my NFA items with the full benefit. 12 months for my first suppressor, 14 months for my first SBR. Quickest time was 60 days probably 3 years ago.

I'm waiting for the Supreme Court to take up the right case. Legislature don't seem to be in a hurry to strike while the iron is hot, so we wait for the judicial. for years.....

That co$ts money from private individuals and activist groups, while the opposing side has the benefit of bottomless publicly funded coffers.

There are lots of angry single issue voters out there... the whole removal sbr/sbs from the nfa thing was originally in the bill.

Our so called side, allowed it to be removed.... for literally no reason. That bill was passing with or without the original language.

So now we wait for the right case. Vicious cycle, and an old, tiresome one.

I'll donate to whoever the plantiffs end up being, but i have a feeling restoring 2a rights, and overturning state infringements are but mere campaign talking points.

If they fix it while they have the ability... they lost the talking point for the next campaign.

Whoever files a meaningful suit and is able to get it to the highest court in the land, i will support. Whether it be NAGR, GOA, 2AF, ETC.

Notice the glaring lack of a certain organization on my list?

NRA has their place. It's not in a courtroom. It's in preserving heritage, and promoting safe firearm culture and usage amongst our youth. 4H still does a good job with that kind of stuff, but the rats are imbedded in every organization. Chewing the wires from within.

I hope this doesn't cross any political lines...

Feel free to delete if inappropriate, Mod squad guys...
