What’s in your gun safe?

That sig is direct thread, not meant for a muzzle device. Rocksett / ceramic threadlocker isnt terrible to get off unless the device was over torqued during installation.

Yessir. I just needed go buy a shouldered mount for the can. Should be here this week. 🤠

Almost anything can be fitted with a QD muzzle device if your willing. I have done both my 5.5" rattlers with QD devices for Huxwrx Flow cans.

I found love in the Plan-B ecosystem. Specifically Rearden for most of it.

Looks nice! My first Kimber was from their year of external extractors... Was a terrible time to buy one, after several trips back and forth they finally replaced it with another model that had an internal extractor. It's been solid but I still have PTSD of the first one so I rarely shoot it...

Their new 1911 ds warrior is supposed to be a steal of a deal around 1k. Their 2k11 pro comp is damn sexy… I have yet to dip my toe into 2k11s but this one has me real tempted

You have suspension, wheels and tires to do, sir! Don't even think about it! 🤪

Haha 1000%

I finished mother in laws kitchen remodel tonight.

So now it’s time to lock in a focus. Will prob be lift and wheel and be asshole who rolling around on OEM 35s for couple months but oh well

The 2k11 can be end of year wishes… I love handguns but everytime I look to to buy an expensive one I can’t. I end up viewing them too utilitarian. Also the 2k11 I couldn’t purchase currently in my lovely state. It’s high capacity. 🙄

Pro tip: boil it. That's how we remove stubborn MDs and suppressor adapters at the shop. Rocksett and Hot Lock generally won't soften or release under heat alone, but we have a 100% success rate with boiling water.

Here's a picture of the taper cap that should have come with it:

I've been sitting on my 9" SBR because I have read what a PITA it is. Need to get that thing off of it so I can put a Surefire mount on it.

Do you guys pull the barrel to mount in a vise to remove or just boil it and then send it with a wrench?

I have heard a 18mm or 19mm on a Milwaukee M18 impact will do it as well, but the thought of taking an impact to a rifle makes me go hmmm.

Yeah, I wouldn’t use an impact 😂

Correct way on the Sigs is to use a barrel support tool like this one:

I’ve seen guys boil them and then put a wrench on the MD while holding the rifle between their legs. A little cowboy even for me but if it works it works I guess.

Thanks, hadn’t seen that too previously. Yeah, the impact wrench method raised my eyebrows when I heard that.

All I use to hold a barrel to remove or install.

Yep, I have the .308 version in the tool box.
