What’s in your gun safe?

I'm waiting for the Supreme Court to take up the right case. Legislature don't seem to be in a hurry to strike while the iron is hot, so we wait for the judicial. for years.....

That co$ts money from private individuals and activist groups, while the opposing side has the benefit of bottomless publicly funded coffers.

There are lots of angry single issue voters out there... the whole removal sbr/sbs from the nfa thing was originally in the bill.

Our so called side, allowed it to be removed.... for literally no reason. That bill was passing with or without the original language.

So now we wait for the right case. Vicious cycle, and an old, tiresome one.

I'll donate to whoever the plantiffs end up being, but i have a feeling restoring 2a rights, and overturning state infringements are but mere campaign talking points.

If they fix it while they have the ability... they lost the talking point for the next campaign.

Whoever files a meaningful suit and is able to get it to the highest court in the land, i will support. Whether it be NAGR, GOA, 2AF, ETC.

Notice the glaring lack of a certain organization on my list?

NRA has their place. It's not in a courtroom. It's in preserving heritage, and promoting safe usage amongst our youth. 4H still does a good job with that kind of stuff, but the moles are in place in every organization. Chewing the wires from within.

I hope this doesn't cross any political lines...

Feel free to delete after reading, Mr. Mod squad guys...
Couldn’t have said it better. I feel the only reason the NFA stuff came up in first place was to garner support. I’ll leave it at this - as sideways as things seem to be things are getting more and more transparent. Scares me at times but it’s also good to know where politicians loyalty lies and whom can be bought.

Back on topic, sold my Savage Axis 110 tactical today, thinking about grabbing an FNX 9mm. I have a well used G19x but I’ll never enjoy that grip angle as much as a 1911.

I dream of a double stack 1911 in .40sw. Maybe a 2011. I'm not a glock fan either.

But then again I AM a weirdo.

...40sw. ...I AM a weirdo.
Tracks 😜

Kidding (mostly). I've got a few pistols chambered in 10mm Short for one reason: when there's a run on ammo, that one is always on the shelf 😂

When there was a run on ammo.... I bought .40 in bulk.. Lol.

It's a great PCC cartridge. A 100yd, 180g laser out of a 16" barrel.

Essentially with no fee it’s now a registry which isn’t legal. Been waiting to see if FPC or anyone is going to tackle this.

Unfortunately for me I bought all my NFA items with the full benefit. 12 months for my first suppressor, 14 months for my first SBR. Quickest time was 60 days probably 3 years ago.
It was already 100% a registry and there was no reasonableness argument otherwise

You literally have to get written permission to take most nfa across state lines and you have to update your address on the registration when you move

If they didn’t do it yet I don’t see how this changes it

A make a short list of the key weapons that I am proud of :

McMillan Tac-338 LM NF ATACR 8-35x56 F1

Sendero 7mm STW NF NX-8 4-32x50 F1

Aero Precision 6.5 CM - NF NX-8 4-32x50 F1

Bergara 7mm PRC NF NX-8 4-32x50 F1

Remington Custom shop 22/250 bull barrel, thumb hole stock Leupold Mk 8 3.5-25x56

FPC is actively working this. I get emails weekly asking for dollars.

Going to hijack this thread rather than starting a new one because I figure the below would be of interest to all who follow this thread.

I didn't ask Santa for anything for Christmas and with my birthday coming up, I need to start floating this out there for those who might want to get me something nice. Sharing in case you might want to add it to your own wishlist...

Something to deal with pesky intruders and solicitors who ignore the no trespassing signs.

So many thoughts about the use of a remote control gun.

Not me, no way.

Try thinking about goggle controlled, infrared gatling gun. It was the coolest thing I had ever witnessed.

We tried running SAWs off servos with PlayStation controllers to mitigate exposure to VBEDS. Ultimately the program was scrapped, god forbid a servo fail or you have a run away gun with no way to yank the belt. In today’s environment it seems the drones are addressing many of those concerns.

Out of the box I need an adapter for direct thread?

In my safes I only keep baseball cards, yo yo, Fruitstripe gum, kazoo collection, comic books, bottle caps, Sea monkey packets, paddle ball, Swatch, Bee Gees 8 Track, Olds 98 hood ornament, Smokey and the Bandit and Cannonball Run on VHS, 1970's Playboys. Definitely no firearms…

If that's what I think it is, under that muzzle device there should be 5/8x24 or 1/2x28 threads (depending on caliber) with a 25 degree taper instead of a normal square shoulder. The gun should have come with a taper-to-square-shoulder adapter, and you can usually run a typical direct-thread can with it. Just be sure to check alignment before you send it.

You’re 100% correct. Just picked it up with the blessings of a form 4 approval, and I’ll likely convert this (300 blk) to a SBR next. It’s still oem as a pistol.

I just ordered a tapered adapter and I hear removing the flash hider is brutal. I’ll try soaking it first as Sig uses Rocksett . . . Otherwise there is a heat option….or back to the gunsmith.

I just ordered an alignment rod. So at least I’ll be able to do that part.

Pro tip: boil it. That's how we remove stubborn MDs and suppressor adapters at the shop. Rocksett and Hot Lock generally won't soften or release under heat alone, but we have a 100% success rate with boiling water.

Here's a picture of the taper cap that should have come with it:
