Have you noticed any difference in speeds? A buddy who got me onto Starlink has a High Performance for their office, a Gen II for his house, and just recently snagged a Mini. A while back they were in the middle of moving offices at the time we were taking a trip. He brought the HP panel with him for that trip. Since then he’s moved back into town, and no longer uses the Gen II at home. So it’s made a couple trips with us. Just this pst weekend we went to Big Bend together, and we both had Minis. I couldn’t really tell any difference in speeds with any of them. However we were always in pretty desolate areas, and not exactly in a high demand area where the priority may take place.

In our recent 48 day 7400 mile western loop/trip our SL mini performed flawlessly. I never saw a need to semi/permanently mount it. There are many places that we camped that we would have had obstructions if we mounted it permanently on our Travel Trailer or truck topper. We did opt to buy the Striker Fabrication protective case to keep the Mini protected. Highly recommend this case.
Love our SL Mini never compete for WiFi again.

Connectivity in the middle of nowhere.

Last week I snagged another Lithium battery as an alternate power source for the Mini. I was looking at smaller power banks etc, but they cost too much for what you’d get. Ended up stumbling across the 100ah lithium battery with good reviews, and had a built in 60 watt USBC port. Should be plenty to power the SL as long as the 60 watts was correct. Well it got here yesterday, and I tried it out today. Works like a charm. 100ah should be good for 3 days straight of constant use. And only $169 to boot!

I ran a CP with 50-100 people 2-4 devices off the HP, had the Gen 2 size but 3rd gen as well, but that was required at a different location for continuity. And we ran a roam with priority but it did not hold up to our need for devices so we had to limit that to only 3 users on that side, and only 1 user when in Critical situations.

That being said, I run a Gen 2 at home with priority, and a separate Gen 2 with priority roaming for camping.

I suppose it all depends on your needs and requirements.

I ran a CP with 50-100 people 2-4 devices off the HP, had the Gen 2 size but 3rd gen as well, but that was required at a different location for continuity. And we ran a roam with priority but it did not hold up to our need for devices so we had to limit that to only 3 users on that side, and only 1 user when in Critical situations.

That being said, I run a Gen 2 at home with priority, and a separate Gen 2 with priority roaming for camping.

I suppose it all depends on your needs and requirements.

Got this from Etsy. If I was looking to mount full time I'd probably get something else, but to throw it on before road trips and ability to switch between vehicles is nice. You can mount this in either under the window or surface mount to the exterior

Yes sir! If the wire is routed behind everything it will close all the way. If you keep the wire tucked in front or around the sides, it will require about a quarter of an inch opening as the headliner will hit the wire and bounce back. Be mindful of the mount you get. Some might hang lower and you're screwed (I know, "that's what she said!" .)
