Alright. So through that little glad to get below/ through the lip of the camper. Tbh it’s not an area that would cause a leak but it clean it up. Around the outside (passenger) side of the camper up under the fiberglass lip in through the same penetration as all the actuator wiring, down inside the loom that hold the actuator wire to the modem mounted on a bracket. Plug is than dropped down into my front bench where it’s plugged into my inverter. Since this is an “older” Starlink it runs on 120V, which I actually like because it is only on when I power the inverter on so it’s like having a little remote for Starlink. Turn on the inverter and you have Starlink. Turn it off and it’s off. Works very well for us.

I have been looking at the satgear mount.
They are also throwing in a 15' cable also with the mount. I don't have the sunroof, and the cheaper magnetic mounts won't work. So I think this is one of my better options.

I never actually use my moonroof so I actually just double sided tape it to the rear panel and ran the wire inside the post to behind the seats where I put the modem. Hooked it to an upfitter, works perfect, cost me 5 bucks in tape and 20 bucks for the power converter. Couldn't be happier with it. I run the new gen full size panel not the mini and because the wire is tucked in the post I can close the shade and you can't tell anything is there

I read it's about how the ceramic disperses the beams that basically reduces the signal strength.

I have Llumar IRX ceramic tint on my moon roof and my Starlink mini stays connected.

I have ceramic tint on my pano roof and I get good consistent signal as well.

Yes it can for sure. I have several friends that have run them that way either in a pinch or while they waited for their mount. If running it on the dash, you can just place it on a small towel and call it good.. no need for a mount necessarily.

Running Starlink Mini in a magnetic base attached to bed rack. Ran 2 power cords for different options into the Retrax covered bed. Works great and the increased download speed from the Mini has really made a difference with the Elite Car Box CarPlay streaming device. Base purchased from Amazon.

if you’re talking about the Elite Car Box make sure your phones Bluetooth is off and isn’t connected to CarPlay automatically . Make sure phone isn’t plugged into a USB outlet that could engage Car Play. Also if the problem is you can’t see the Starlink Mini on the list of available networks make sure your power source is 100watts or greater. Mine wouldn’t work with just a 40 watt USB C charger. Hope this helps

Yes I second this. All correct. I could not get my mini to work on my usb c cable. I had to use the 110 outlet

I didn’t have any issues using my USBC cable as long as the outlet was 60watts or greater. Even ran it off a Milwaukee Top Off that was only rated for 48 watts.

Yeah I meant plugging it in to truck usb c. Didn't work for me. Had to use 110. I have an emergency powerbank for the mini and it works just fine. 160 watt
