Got this mount off Amazon (Starlink Gen 3 Magnetic Roof... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCF91JCZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share). It secures the SL antenna with two thumb screws and sliding into the slot from the stand removal. So when we stop I can move it if I need to. Doesn't move a bit rolling at 75mph down the highway either. Also I didn't use the magnets.

Any of you seen the Starlink satellites? Long string of lights cruising across the night sky in a perfectly straight line, only to mysteriously disappear one after another . I’ve seen them twice, before my wife googled it, so I was kind of trippin’ on it.

Saw them the other night on my way into town. Looked up while driving west and saw a line of lights flying over the horizon in the dark. Then they disappeared after a couple minutes. Took a second to remember what they were.

It’s called a train (not the @Optimus kind) but have seen several in South Dakota, and here in Washington state. It’s really cool, there is a complete active tracking available too if you really want to nerd out.

The DC House 100ah battery I linked earlier has been an easy plug and play solution for me. I just toss it in my toolbox when needed (can easily mount in the bed as well), and it has a 60W USBC plug built in. Starlink plugs directly into the battery. Without any additional charging I’m good for roughly 3 days of constant running. Way longer if I turn it off when not needed at night etc.

How are you liking the Elite Car Box? Have you figured out any cool tips/tricks? I know you can use the web browser on it to go to apk files and download new apps. Really haven't had much time to dive into it yet.

Love it so far. I must admit, it's the only box I haven't messed around alot with...yet. Other than watching videos on YouTube, my time with it has been minimal.

I don't have a mount yet, but the mini fits above the retractable moonroof shade. Open the shade about 6" and place the Mini in there. One edge of the Mini rests on the stiff headliner facing the front of the truck, and the backrest is on top of the stiff lip of the moonroof shade. You are able to tuck in the power cable along the headliner to just behind the passenger headrest, wrap it around so it holds, and then continue down to the cigarette lighter behind the center console.

I rarely use/need it in my vehicle, but it has come in handy the few times I need it. This last weekend, we were in the national forest to cut down our Christmas tree, and there was no signal for another 45 minutes of driving towards the nearest town. Also, last month, we camped in Big Sur, CA, and we did not have any signal the entire trip, including driving on Highway 1. It came in handy for having the wife research the next hiking trails in a pinch. Lastly, my local shooting range has no cell reception, so having my wife be able to call me in an emergency is convenient.

On a side note, I really like the mini. If you 3D print some mounts, it fits inside the lip of an Apache 3800 gun case found at Harbor Freight, and it powers on with USB batteries or drill batteries. I don't use it powered on inside with the case closed, but I still tested it, and it was able to connect just fine.

Running Starlink Mini in a magnetic base attached to bed rack. Ran 2 power cords for different options into the Retrax covered bed. Works great and the increased download speed from the Mini has really made a difference with the Elite Car Box CarPlay streaming device. Base purchased from Amazon.
