I didn't think there was a particuarly easy way to the rim (edge of the world) and quite frankly, that drive would suck having to do everyday. It's not particularly long, it is just really slow and congested once you get on the highway.

The landscape is absolutely stunning but it certainly is not a practical location, in my opinion.

That's 3+ hours ever day.

Hey Arizona (and surrounding states) Tremor owners.. planning to do some off-roading in the Sedona, AZ area in September and it is starting to become a meet-up so throwing this out there to see who else wants to join the party. I've got a buddy who will be bringing his '24 Raptor as well.

@AZsurveyor , @Vecman , @Tucson Tremor ... Y'all available? Let me know what trails on the area you'd recommend. Don't want to do anything too crazy, still gotta be able to drive back to Texas.

So far we've got myself and @legmar going with @Godzilla/Tremornator, @speeddev, @FuelTankReInforcedSkidPlt and @Optimus🤖 looking to try and make it.

We'll be getting into town on the 11th, planning to hit trails the 12th and 13th, heading back to Texas on the 14th. Of course there will be great company, lots of whiskey, and whatever other shenanigans we get into.

If we are in Ash Fork; we may drop by in Tremor or 1st gen Shelby Raptor.

It sure is tempting. My 50th bday trip is the next week in Vegas so not sure I can swing both, but will definitely look into it.

Sedona Off-Road Adventure - Trail Options & Itinerary

Hey everyone! Excited for our Sedona weekend September 12 and 13! After researching trails suitable for our Tremor builds and consulting with @AZsurveyor , We've put together options that balance scenic desert exploration with optional technical challenges for those wanting to test their rigs.

Logistics & Planning

• Meeting Point: TBD - central Sedona location for 9:30a.m. departure both days
• Required: Red Rock Pass ($15 for 7-day covers both days)
• Group Coordination: Technical add-on groups will split off and regroup at designated points for lunch and continued adventures

Decision Time - Please respond with:

1. Friday preference: Base route only OR Base route + technical add-on (specify which)
2. Saturday preference: Base route only OR Technical alternative (Diamondback Gulch)
3. Any questions or special requests

The base routes offer incredible scenery, historic sites, and perfect terrain for our trucks without any damage risk. Technical add-ons provide opportunities to really flex your builds and tackle some moderate-to-difficult obstacles for those interested.

Looking forward to an epic weekend exploring Arizona's red rock country!

FRIDAY - WEST SEDONA DESERT EXPLORER
Main Route:

• 10:00am-12:30pm: Ranch Loop OHV Trail (FR-761B and FR-525A) - 8-mile loop with beautiful views of Sedona on the north end, ascend up to rim of red rock terrain
• 12:30pm-1:30pm: Lunch Break- scenic pullout on Ranch Loop with red rocks backdrop
• 1:30pm-4:00pm: Outlaw Trail starting at Honanki Heritage Site, sweeping views across desert and red rock hills of Sedona

Technical Add-On Options:
SKELETON BONES TRAIL (Addition to the main route)

• Connection Point: Bill Gray Road - Ranch Loop can be accessed via Bill Gray Road (FR-761), and Skeleton Bones starts 6.3 miles north on Bill Gray Road
• Type: Addition to main route (groups split and regroup)
• Timing: +1.5-2 hours additional
• Distance: 5.8-mile point-to-point trail
• Schedule: Technical group does Skeleton Bones 11:00am-12:30pm while main group continues Ranch Loop
• Regroup Point: Both trails end back at Bill Gray Road - meet at Bill Gray Road/FR-525 intersection at 12:30pm for lunch

RED ROCK POWERLINE TRAIL (Alternative addition)

• Connection Point: From Highway 89A, take Bill Gray Road at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Drive approximately 9.3 miles to trail start
• Type: Addition to main route
• Timing: +2-2.5 hours additional
• Distance: 6.4-mile point-to-point trail from Bill Gray Road along power lines
• Schedule: Technical group takes this instead of/after Skeleton Bones
• Regroup Point: Trail connects to Bill Grey and Buckboard trail - meet at FR-525 intersection

SATURDAY - SCHNEBLY HILL EASTERN APPROACH
Main Route:

• 10:00am-12:30pm: Schnebly Hill Road - APPROACH FROM EAST (Flagstaff side) for spectacular viewpoint overlooking Oak Creek Canyon, descending into Sedona
• 12:30pm-1:30pm: At mile 4.0, get out and stretch your legs at Merry-Go-Round rock formation with scenic views
• 1:30pm-4:00pm: Volcanic Rim Loop - very rough 3-mile loop requiring use of 4L, scenery even better than Schnebly Hill

Technical Add-On Options:

DIAMONDBACK GULCH (Alternative detour)

• Connection Point: At end of Diamondback Gulch: Turn left on FR 525 to Ranch Loop/downtown Sedona OR Turn right toward Outlaw Trail and Honanki Heritage Site
• Type: Alternative morning route (detour from main group)
• Timing: 2.5 hours (replaces morning Schnebly Hill portion)
• Distance: 6.7-mile three-quarter loop trail
• Schedule:
  • Technical Group: 10:00am-12:30pm Diamondback Gulch
  • Main Group: 10:00am-12:30pm Schnebly Hill Road
• Regroup Point: Both groups meet at FR-525/Outlaw Trail area at 12:30pm for lunch, then both continue together on Volcanic Rim Loop

SKELETON BONES (Saturday Alternative)

• Type: Morning replacement for those wanting a more extreme challenge
• Timing: 2 hours (10:00am-12:00pm)
• Connection: Access via Bill Gray Road at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church
• Regroup Point: Bill Gray Road intersection - technical group drives to meet main group at Schnebly Hill area for lunch

Key Connection Details:

• Bill Gray Road Hub: Primary access point for Ranch Loop, Skeleton Bones, and Red Rock Powerline - all connect here
• FR-525 Corridor: Major connection point where Outlaw Trail, Diamondback Gulch, and Ranch Loop all intersect
• Timing Buffer: All add-ons include 15-30 minute drive time to connection points
• Meeting Points: All regrouping locations have good cell service and multiple parking areas
