FYI 2022 Updated Production Schedule

Just curious. What is the significance of the scheduling moved up to 5/27? That doesn’t effect when production on the 2022’s starts does it? Or did the production dates move up also?
It doesn't but previously the scheduling was listed as TBD. Now with them starting scheduling those of us who have 2022s on order will start to get VINs and dates for our builds and what not. So while its not starting production earlier, its at least a step in the right direction and getting the production train moving as opposed to postponing it another week or two.

? thanks for the clarification. I ordered on 3/17 so should I expect a VIN # some time this week? I would love to have it by October but not really expecting it but man would that make me happy!

For sure! I mean I don't know that you will get it this week or even when you'll get it but I do know you won't get a VIN until your truck is scheduled. So the fact that they are starting scheduling is good for us because it means we should get it soon you know? Hahah but I have no idea when we will get it. Honestly, I have heard so many different estimates from so many sources, I will be happy if I have my truck by christmas to be honest. But I am also hoping that my truck arrives after the market calms down so the dealer doesn't try to make me pay more. Right now pretty much every truck, including rangers, are going for $5k over MSRP minimum at a lot of dealerships. Especially here in Texas.

Man, I want to jump in with a “I told you so,” but it was an obvious JOKE based heavily on frustration.

but this is exciting news.... for sure.
Out of hope and desperation I scoured the internet looking for such news....even relayed the hope to my sales manager without any basis?? Shame on you sir....shame on you....But oddly enough I did get a call from said sales manager today out of the blue to confirm my final order details and pricing for no reason I could see on my end. He did relay that SD production was taking a priority due to such high retail order demand. His comments gave more weight than the call last week from my sales person. FWIW

  • 22MY Super Duty Startup Scheduling – On Thursday, May 27th, 22MY Super Duty startup scheduling will begin. However, retail orders will not be selected for scheduling.
Not so fast, it appears. ?
Where was this posted about Retail orders?

Retails orders usually aren't processed untill OK to Sell is reached which means 5 days of consecutive production without errors.

This is my understanding from reading multiple threads on BOF

Regardless it's good new that scheduling was changed back to the 27th, even it we, as retail orders, arent scheduled yet it's a step in the right direction.

If they’re starting to schedule on 5/27, but that does not include retail orders...what are they scheduling on that day then? Just curious what it all means....

I agree, seams funny that they wouldnt produce the ones that are already sold and cash in hand for dealers first and then stock orders esp when they have 22K 2021's sitting in a Parking lot just my 2cents

They start making dealer stock orders first untill OK TO SELL is reached and then they can process retail orders.

I believe this is to try and catch production errors from reaching customers. By processing dealer stock orders first, if a problem comes up they can just recall those vehicles or have the dealer repair them. Retail orders, might already be in the hands of the customer.

I ordered mine under fleet. And my guy told me that normally that wouldn’t be priority. But it might be good now because they have a contract with my company to make “xx” units and they won’t get bumped on allocation. ??? Sounds great if true

Called dealer today said nothing moved on the tremor as far as 2022 (obviously) just curious to hear what he had to say. If we are indeed looking at December delievery dates assuming we ordered in March, is this the time to go pay 10k over sticker for a 2021 if we need a truck? I’m in a debacle that I kinda need a truck before summer ends however I can’t find a 2021 in all of US with what I want on it or I would have it shipped. Thanks

Depending on what you’re looking for ... there is a new ‘21 white 250 6.7 lariat with the black pkg at the dealer just down the road from me. Long shot.

If you absolutely need a truck then you need a truck and at the mercy of the dealer and what they want to charge. Personally I wouldn’t pay over MSRP for an item unless I absolutely had no choice and it was going to cost me more to go without than to pay the mark up. There are still dealers out there that will work with you but you will need to search them out. So you just have to decide how much is this truck really worth to you or what other alternatives are out there to get you by until things straighten out.
