2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...

That's pretty ridiculous.

To spend $80k+ (on the trim levels I would want) for an F-150 and not have a heated steering wheel or heated mirrors (a feature my 2001 Excursion has) is completely unacceptable, IMO.

If my '23 King Ranch Tremor shows up without those features, the dealer can keep it.

Probably cause Chinese manufacturing has taken a complete dump lately and it would all break faster than the rear shocks.

This is so freaking annoying. I haven't heard of features being dropped from SD's, but since no one has gotten one yet and you can't see window stickers on built trucks, who knows. At least GM seems to retrofit missing features, while Ford just says, "screw you."

please note im not saying these will be dropped, im just looking at the fact that ford uses the same suppliers for this stuff so i wouldnt be surprised if eventually it is dropped.

I read an article yesterday GM is starting to retrofit heating steering wheels in the Silverado's that were deleted the past year or two. My guess is 1) ford will have caught up in parts for job 2 - 2) if ford can get enough flack that GM is doing it , they will follow.

I have a 23 KR tremor ordered but I am thinking since the 23 will be such a short run I’d be better off waiting 9 months to order a 24 and see if everything has caught up - the HO engine is worth it- maybe some new colors to pick from.

They drop one item off my truck they can keep it. As mentioned, I ain’t paying that kind of money for a truck and not getting it the way I ordered. I’ll just keep driving this 2019 Raptor another year and drag a$$ towing….

You very well may be put in that position and I’ll be completely honest, I was in that position and said the same thing but I’ll tell ya what I caved I had to make the decision to drop the 5th wheel prep and spray in bedliner or not I did and still waited 9.5 months for my truck if I hadn’t dropped those it would’ve been over a year

What does the order tracker say about this truck? Did you get a window sticker yet? depending on your place in line on the week's schedule the modules might even be populating. If that happens you know your frame is mated to the body and the computer has been activated.

From what i gathered from the 22 builds there is no obvious rhyme or reason when a truck is built.

There are really several factors that will influence when your truck will be built.
1. Your dealer - The dealer's monthly allocation for Super Duties and the number of other orders they have received are a factor as to how many of their accepted orders can be scheduled each month. If the dealer has given people a higher priority code (ranging from 10 - 19), those with codes 10 - 18 will get scheduled ahead of you. If everyone is at a priority code 19, then it will usually default to the oldest order in the system.

2. Constraints - Usually if there is anything in your build that is constrained your order won't get picked up by the factory until they have all the parts in inventory to build your truck. If other orders from your dealer do not have constrained items, they'll likely get picked up before you. You'll see quite a few examples on this forum where people dropped items (e.g., spray-in bed liner, 5th wheel prep package, multi-contour seats, etc...) from their MY22 builds to try and get an earlier build date. That said, they built trucks in MY22 where they were missing components, but I imagine that was a necessary factor to not have production lines go idle, resulting in the massive number of trucks sitting at the Kentucky Motor Speedway waiting on parts.

3. Ford's production scheduling - I haven't seen anyone crack the code on how Ford picks orders to build (assuming the other factors above aren't issues). On this forum alone, you'll find examples in the MY22 order thread where people who placed orders months after someone else with identical configurations got picked up before the older order.

TLDR: There's no way to know and best to settle in for a long wait

The US site, the site that Ford provided a link to, shows this.

The Canadian site shows this.

It also shows as last updated on January 12 which is when Ford sent me the VIN and build date of February 13. So nothing matches. Who knows what to expect other than delays.

For what little it's worth, I ordered a '23 Lariat Tremor 7.3 yesterday through the military overseas buying program. They estimate a July 26th delivery. So at least 6 months.

Received Ford email confirmation 10/31.
Received "it's been too long, 45 days blah blah" email 1/11.
Still no build date or update
