Whipple Installed!

Kit comes with a belt for single alternator AND dual alternator, so I have an extra dual alternator belt because my truck is single.

Any Whipple guys out there want to trade their single for a double for a spare?

On my 2024 Whipple, I just noticed a vacuum hose that is completely collapsed. I think it's a hose Whipple provided. Even after the truck has been off for days, the hose stays collapsed 100%. It's the hose from the brake booster to the top fitting on that long black plastic dual check valve piece. I assume those are check valves. Whipple hasn't seen it before and is investigating. Hard to see unless you're looking for it. No fault codes and brakes work great. The hose is pretty soft, and with the heat, I'm not surprised. In the pictures, it looks like I'm squeezing the hose, but I'm not. Just showing how flat the hose is. The other picture makes the top hose look twisted, but that's only because I'm pulling it out from where it normally rests to take a picture. Check yours.

Yep, they did the install for me and they have their own tune for it. So far, I am very happy with it. Definitely wakes up the truck.

In my limited use, I haven’t notice anything different with my HVAC.

Can we get a video of this puppy roaring down the street!?

Updating my vacuum hose issue: I took the Whipple-supplied hose off that goes from the brake booster to the upper port on the black plastic tube that has a one-way check valve. When I removed the hose, a noise of the vacuum escaping proved that a vacuum is held in this hose even when the truck has been off for days due to the check valve. Good news, I don't have a vacuum leak.

I bought thick-walled silicone vacuum hose on Amazon, and with the help of WD40, I snaked this new hose into the Whipple hose. Then cleaned out the WD40 with soap and water and used an air compressor to dry it. Reattached the hose, and now the hose stays round and doesn't collapse when under a vacuum. I haven't heard back from Whipple yet, but I see now why Ford used that hard plastic PVC-type tubing in this part of the vacuum system. I can't see how I had power brakes with how flat that hose was before. Not easy to catch unless you're looking for it.

Sent my data logs for my issues to Whipple last Thursday, still no word.

Called twice yesterday and no answer. Called a third time and spoke with an admin. She would not allow me to speak to a tech, said that they dont have phones, and that even she had to email them. She told me I would get an email by the end of the day and I did not.

Currently low 40s in Maine and my HVAC doesn't work properly due to the AAT issue, still have the 4x4 light, and I have an 8 hour tow next weekend.

Definitely getting super stressed about this.

Self installing in my garage in rural Maine and having issues and having the company treat you like this sucks.

So sorry for your frustration. I believe the aat in the passenger side mirror.
I suspect its either a bad/wrong T MAP sensor they sent me, or something wrong in the tune. When its 40 out here AAT reads 80. If I drive the truck, park it, and start it again it reads like 110 or higher, then if I start driving it comes down. I could be wrong, but the MAF and T MAP tie into the ambient air temp wire in the main harness so thats where I think the problem is. I confirmed it was the right wire like 10 times before I tapped into it.

This causes the AC and the cooled seats to turn on. The heat only goes up to 85, so if ambient reads over 85, I have to put it to max heat to get it to heat, otherwise I get cold air, as I said, it is 40s and 50s out here.

Now that I have installed a boost gauge, I see I am making no boost unless I am at WOT. Hard driving at part throttle doesn't break 0. Unless you are WOT, the truck basically feels stock.

The 4x4 light issue? I have no clue.

I've started looking, and there is a Whipple dealer like 7 hours round trip from me.

in the wire diagram I posted it shows the path of the AAT sensor. You could also unplug the t-mapp and see if your reading changes.
I understand, but theres nothing to make me think there is anything wrong with the aat sensor itself. The way the whipple setup ties in, I believe you disconnect the AAT under the mirror and rely in the T MAP. The stock wire is disconnected and taped up.

I didnt have to do any of this on my truck sorry if im not helping. Just would like to see you get her on the road.
No worries! I really appreciate the help!!!! I am currently driving it, have to get the kids around and all that. I am skeptical of towing though. If we miss the last dirtbike race of the season my kids will kill me.

Heres the page from the manual

I asked xrocket21 since he's installing his right now but others might have what I'm looking for.

I need pictures of the PCM connector and work that is done to pin 90. It's on page 39 of the instructions here.

Ford "fixed" mine as part of a warranty fix on the passenger mirror and I need to change it back. I would appreciate being able to see some photos before I pop it open and work on it.

Here's a portion of the service report. The Whipple works fine but it was 162 degrees outside yesterday according to the truck.

So, did you ever get this figured out? It appears I am having the same problem!!!

See pics above of my install, hope it helps.

No, I have not had time to get to it. It is interesting that you are having the same issue. I think its time to take it to Whipple.

Well, I'll let you know if I get it figured out!

Odd that yours was working okay then something changed.

Mine has been this way since I completed the install. And my truck hasn't been back to the dealer since I bought it.
