What have you 3D printed?

I have the green cap aluminum. Pretty sure it's 225. I can confirm tomorrow but I am 99% sure because I remember thinking how one of my guys shouldn't use it while carrying anything 🤣🤣🤣
I finally completed this project design. I only went over to my parent's house a couple times since you mentioned this. And I can say it fits great! This one pushes in by hand and stays in pretty tightly. This one says 100 because I tested a few other sizes but the 100% fit best. However I suspect there may be variation in the rungs so some might need to be tapped in with a hammer and some could potentially need a dab of adhesive or similar to stay in place.

CaseyJ, great job on the starlink mount!

Being a small shop i have to do nearly everything myself (and the wife. the wife. Dont forget the wife!!), including the packaging of all the hardware.
I started off counting washers.
I quickly 3d printed a dowel-rod shaped jig that would only hold a set amount of washers. Just fill it and its the correct qty.

That's still not good enough...

So I designed and printed this. I'm just waiting for another arduino to come in as the one i have doesnt have good connections on the sockets. Ordered a pre-soldered one hoping to have better luck.
It should come in today so i can finish programming it to dispense the desired quantity of washers for my CoverGuard product.

Its made this big to accommodate larger washers with a disc change out (blue). However, its still too big even for the largest washer i designed to dispense. Ill end up making a v2 once i have enough changes to justify editing and spending another 13 hrs/700g of filament.

Dude, that’s a great design! I really need to get into Arduino!
Very similar to the Parts orders that are available. I’m guessing how much coding did you have to do to get it right?

I had somebody purchase three of my Starlink router headrest mounts, which I thought was odd. After talking with him for a few minutes, realized that he doesn’t even need it for that application. He was just trying to make something work so I work with him for a bit to get my model changed to fit his needs.
Now I’m making light bar mounts that will mount a 16” light bar onto the headrests platform. This is the one that it will be holding. https://a.co/d/03Ik2XKf

Wonder if theres any application for this to be used for temporary chase lights? Just have to do something to solve the glaring issue, pun intended.

Honestly, its taken some time but it hasnt been that challenging. Just have to use the right tools :)

I might have missed it/been sleeping at the wheel of this thread. Do you are anyone have these for squadrons? Might not be bad to keep them covered on my BMC kit.

what program is everyone using to design the items your printing? I’m thinking about purchasing a Bambu P2S but curious what software is best for designing 3d items.

OnShape for ease of use; Fusion360 if you want something a little more full-featured, but there’s a steeper learning curve.

Looking for a custom 3d printed mount -

I am looking for a custom 3d printed piece that will fit inside the side step pocket of a 23+ truck and allow a Baja s2 flush mount light to mount vertical within the pocket. It will need to secure to the existing pocket, and hold the light. Due to the angle within the pocket you currently have to mount them pointing down at a fairly steep angle, and I would like them to face outward or level, so I can maximize the light output.

Positioning the light seems pretty straight forward, that can be solved with a simple wedge. It is the mounting aspect (wedge to pocket and light to wedge) that needs to be sorted.

Here is a pic of how it currently mounts, please let me know if this is something you will contract out for me.

Most of the strobe type setups have a shade/blinder (of sorts) that fits towards the glass. You could play around with the setup to figure out a sweet spot.
