Tremors and Campers let's talk camping!!

Just got back from four days at Redwood RV Park near Broken Bow, OK. The park is small and quiet with lots of room between trailers. We lucked out with a site overlooking the pond, and my boys had fun pulling a few bass and crappie out of it.

This was my first trip towing with the new truck, and it handled it like a champ. I had Sumo Springs on the old one, but I don’t even think they’re necessary on this one. I got roughly 13.8 MPG heading up there, but ran into strong 20–25+ mph headwinds on the way back, which dropped the mileage to about 10.1mpg.

Oh yeah, we ate at a couple of restaurants there (Hochatown Saloon and Buffalo Grill). We also did a few hikes in the state park. It's a great area.

The Saloon is good and so is Abendigos; just be sire to make a reservationbefore tou head that way as weekends are packed with Texans lol. Next time you go try Steven Gap for breakfast and get a breakfast burrito they are amazing. Best Ive had
 
Exploring Arkansas for three weeks. Fall colors just starting to come out.

Can’t beat the price of COE campgrounds with the senior discount that starts at age 62, but still a bargain for non-seniors. Most COEs are $28 a night or less at the regular price and half off for seniors. That can be as low as $9-14 per night with electric and sometimes water connections and a nice shower house and awesome views. COEs are always on a body of water.

We are currently at Beaver Lake in Eureka Springs Arkansas, and we’re staying at the Dam Site campground. This place is awesome in every way, great views, access to gorgeous water everywhere, and the campsites are very spacious with grass and shade trees. Ten days here for just over $100 dollars.

Spent a few days at the Boulders at Lake Tyler last weekend. This is one of our favorite RV Parks in Texas, it's glamping at the finest. 😂

We added a few new toys to our camping setup and finally got to test them out. Picked up a couple of e-scooters for my boys, and they were a blast. Now I’m thinking I might need a bigger off-road version for myself. 😎

I also picked up a single induction burner so we could do more outdoor cooking instead of inside the trailer. It runs off my Jackery, so it should work great even when we’re off-grid. Between that and the grill, we cooked every meal outside this trip.

Finally got the Starlink setup since this place has no internet and limited cell service. ️ I 3D printed a tripod adapter before the trip and it worked well with a Joby tripod.

Looks amazing! Appreciate you posting all those photos.
I can’t wait to visit that area. If the weather cooperates, we might even give it a try in a few weeks.
 
Heading out to east Texas with family for the weekend. This is my in-laws first trip towing with their new avalanche F150. They just upgraded from a Tundra.

Assumed you pulled in so you can have a joint "common" area with the in-laws? Seems like they have the pedestals on the wrong side, though. 🤷‍♂️

Some parks have RV spots that are designed as pull in, so that the rvs big front window has a view. The in-laws spot is the same, so I assume these are rv pull in sights.

That sounds like a setup for big $$ rigs... Explains why I wasn't familiar with that config. 😂
