I was hoping for something like that. Buying a slide-in camper so want all the legal payload I can get.Damn that is an awesome payload for a KR Ultimate even without 5th wheel prep.

Nope.Adaptive steering?
I have a KR ultimate as well, I have the 5th wheel prep and single battery. My sticker is 3650.. Seems like the only difference is the 5th wheel prep which seems surprising it would weight 250 lbs.View attachment 17787
2021 F350
7.3
King Ranch Ultimate
Sunroof
Massaging Seats
Power Steps
Tailgate Step
Adaptive Cruise
LED’s
Mudflaps
Trailer Backup/Camera System
Heated Rear Seats
Upfitter Switches
Things it DOESN’T have that I’d guess take a bite out of payload:
5th Wheel Prep
Dual Batteries/Alts
I think I’ll be 3900 ish for sureView attachment 17787

Mine was also factory ordered (by someone else) with the crossbed toolbox... I wonder if that was included in the factory weight.
PS: the RAWR is the biggest limiting factor for a camper anyways, you'll hit that before your payload.
How heavy is the trailer? F250 and F350 are both limited to 15k.I have a F250 7.3, Lariat Ultimate, moonroof, front seats w console, heated rear seat and 4.30 gears. It has the 10K rating.
When I ordered it in June, I was not going to tow with it. However, plans changed. Now, I plan to trailer my 2014 Raptor. It isn't stock, but, (I haven't weighed it, lately) believe it to be around 7K. On Saturday, I put a deposit on a PJ 24' Super Wide 14k, bumper pull trailer. After reading this entire thread, I am concerned, that the trailer may be too heavy. I have a CDL, that's not my worry. Will this combination be too heavy for the Tremor?
It's a bumper pull trailer. I was mistaken (just a tad off!) on the weight of the trailer. It's 4K, not 14K! UGH! I talked to the trailer dealer and they cleared that up for me!How heavy is the trailer? F250 and F350 are both limited to 15k.
I think you're fine but the only way to know for sure is to weigh it.
What is this 10k de-rate option you speak of??Thankfully I caught my 10K lbs de-rate option mistake and had it removed from the build before it was too late, or my payload would have been 1300 lbs less than it is. Totally saved my ass. Not quite as high as I thought it might be, but easily high enough for me.

I was just referring to it as a "de-rate" unofficially, but that is, in fact, exactly what happens. For example, on a F350 build, if the 10K lbs option is chosen, which is $0, it will change the GVWR from 11,300 to 10,000 lbs. It's the same truck, but the factory rates it lower, so you lose capacity rating. That could be problematic if you were caught hauling over your listed capacity, had an accident, etc. This "de-rate" is necessary in some communist localities because they slam people with outrageous registration fees for having trucks over 10K. So I guess Ford offers this free option to save people those registration expenses. Here is the screenshot of the online build option where you would be able to de-rate your build. What is this 10k de-rate option you speak of??
Got it. Makes sense. Guess I didnt notice it since I got the 250 and the GVWR is 10k standard so not an option. Does the high capacity towing package add 800 pounds above standard?Got it. Makes sense. Guess I didnt notice it since I got the 250 and the GVWR is 10k standard so not an option. Thanks for the explanation.
I got the 7.3L gasser. There is not a high cap towing package for the gasser.Does the high capacity towing package add 800 pounds above standard?
