Transfer Flow 58 gallon replacement tanks are finally being sold and installed!!!!

I'm a novice with Forscan having only used it a couple of times to make changes when I got my truck so don't know the root issue. @ZooDad has listed at the top of the 2023+ Forscan post that DTE changes are not working. From other threads I was left with the impression that this was being worked on, but no estimate of when it would be resolved.
A solution may be near ! Testing currently in process.

Question? I have a 2022 F250 7.3. I went to the dealer to have the Transfer Flow tank installed and they said I needed to cut the frame to have it fit. It was my understanding the the 58g TFT fits where the old tank sat with no modification. This is what I had them order: https://www.transferflow.com/58-gallon-ford-midship-replacement-fuel-tank Help.
For what it's worth, I purchased the TF tank for my 2022, 7.3 when they were first available.
I had SDHQ in gilbert,az, install it. It was their first.
It was a bolt in replacement, no frame cutting.
When I went ot pick up the truck, they hooked up a laptop and changed the forescan settings to the correct DTE, and we left the reserve at 6 gallons.
This mod has been fantastic for me.

The 58 gallon tank fits fine without cutting into the frame. Visit Basil's Garage in Vista - he installed mine and quite a few more.

Yeah run away from that dealer lol, just use one of TFF's preferred dealers/installers on their website and you'll be fine. That or go directly to them since your in CA.

Anyone have a photo of the delivered box from transfer flow, by chance? Possibly dimensions of the carton and an idea of weight?

Thanks!

Was it this one you purchased?

The box is a couple inches larger than the fuel tank in all directions. It’s very sturdy cardboard. When mine was delivered it was strapped to a standard pallet. I did not request a lift gate delivery. When the truck arrived the driver cut the strapping and slid the box over the back edge of the truck and gently set it on the ground. He even took a two wheel hand truck and rolled the box to the garage for me.

I don’t know if you’re driver will do this for you, but my point is you don’t need a lift gate delivery, and the size and weight of the box is easily handled with a two wheel truck or appliance dolly. I don’t think the actual weight of the tank in the box is more than 150 pounds.

Helpful info, thanks. I was looking at buying one third-party and having to arrange shipping myself, so trying to estimate freight quotes. The seller wasn't willing to deal with shipment.

I really want one of these tank, but can't quite justify the full retail price. Keep hoping one will pop up on ebay or marketplace within driving distance someday.

Thank you, I'm considering this. When your tank is totally full does it reach 550 ish?
I would definitely hope so. I've got fill ups with the stock tank at 415. I'm hoping for 600+ when I finally pull the trigger

With the TF 58-gallon tank on my truck, I do not really trust the lie-o-meter on the truck, but I usually get about 600 miles on a tank if the majority of the driving is in town or local roads and about 700 if the majority of the driving is highway traveling. Of course, those numbers dwindle rapidly when towing. I definitely consider it one of the top two Mods I have done on the truck.
