love the large "DO NOT TOUCH" sign... are these actually for sale or is it the store owner just showing off their bottles?

These, I believe, were for sale. A couple other bottles (Stagg, Pappy) were not.

It's a small shop called the "Butcher's Deli" whose bottle collection has greatly expanded over the last few months. I was more interested in the ribeyes and t-bones.

There are physically small but larger dollar value price tags on those bottles.

Ah.. didn't notice that until was able to see the photo on my computer. Looks like the Old Fitzgerald might have a label on it that says it's not for sale. Most of the Willet bottles are $400 - $525 per bottle except the one on the end for $250.

My buddy that owns a shop messaged me today. He’s got a Blantons set aside for me (the L) since I’m one letter away from the set. And he’s got the Old Elk Double Wheat set aside for me too.

Today I was able to check off one of the ones on my list that I've been hunting for quite awhile now (not wanting to pay the typical $300 a bottle for) - Elmer T. Lee. Got a great price on the bottle and also grabbed a few other interesting ones as well.

Also picked up Punchers Chance “Undisputed” haven’t cracked it yet. They have another called “The D12tance” that is phenomenal

So walked into a liquor store that is next door to a doggy daycare we used to take our dogs to (when we lived in that neighborhood). They have ALL (and I really mean all) the allocated and hard to find whiskies. Want Eagle Double Rare (and have $15K burning a hole in your pocket)? They got it. Pappy's? Heaven Hill 18? Blanton's? Stagg? Weller? Rock Hill Farms? Elmer? They had it all. Could have wiped out my entire wishlist at once.

The store has everything market priced (so way above MSRP), but the guys there seem to really know whiskey and the market. Since they want to make sales, and not have a museum, I was happy to hear that they'd be willing to flex on price (especially if buying more than one bottle) and sell things for a bit below market.

I got the CFO to support me buying a few ones I've been looking for. Basically bought 2 bottles and got the 3rd one free with the discounts they gave. So all above MSRP, but below the secondary pricing by enough to make it a fair deal. After today, I'm going to take a break from adding to the collection for a few months. Need to save money for truck mods

10 year wedding anniversary is next year... Which one should I save for that occasion?

Nice!! I actually have the same situation. Store I frequent keeps all that stuff in the back. But if you know him he’ll take you back there and show and sell whatever. Has all the Pappy’s ect.. He asks a lot but you can make a deal. FWIW I’d save the GTS.

Wouldn't go to LA if it were free! Plus lots of desert between here and there so most likely wouldn't make it anyway!!
