I would not order this. If you scroll down a little bit on the Walmart site there is a $49 shipping fee in small print. It is also being sold by a third party seller not Walmart direct. The seller has a lot of bad reviews including one stating that the kit that was shipped was for a different region and that the buyer was charged an additional $300 fee to activate.

I quick google search told me right away the difference between ordering direct or from 3 party retailers such as WM.

There's no way I would buy it new from anybody but Starlink.com. Used is also an option but only if you can do it in person to verify ownership and function through the app and also do the ownership transfer before leaving.

I picked up the Home Depot one on a promotion with $100.00 off and a 10% off or 12 month no interest mailer code. Used the 10% so it was $450.00 plus tax and free shipping. Couldn't find anything on a new "2025" model yet. That will piss me off since I just got it.

List of authorized dealers. Walmart is one but I would only buy if it was from Walmart.

There is no 2025 model. The 2 listings on the Walmart site are from the same seller. The seller's address is an apartment in Atlanta. It's just a scam taking advantage of the lacking security on the Walmart marketplace.

They have a bunch of listings like that with things like <year> New Model of game consoles even though the consoles do not change.

Buying direct through retail stores is also a safe way to get it.

Starlink also does sales occasionally. I ordered mine direct last year for $450 when they were still $599 msrp.

Didn't cost him $1500 to mount it either. a dril and a couple bucks in bolts at the local Ace and he's all set. My Gen 2 at home uses about 30-50W so it can easily run off the OEM power sockets.

That Striker Mount is interesting; their non-roof rack ones looks decent too. Wonder would this coupled with something like the Swarfworks to allow you to secure the Mini onto the brake-light style mount to keep it up there and avoid having to take it off when you're leaving the vehicle parked for extended periods...

EDIT: looked at a few more videos; no way. Way too bulky for how tight the clearances are on the SW mount. Haha
