I decided to get the mini. Now I'll have to go back to the beginning of this thread to decide on mounts. I'd like to be able to swap between different vehicles when needed (F250/F150/Expedition).

Unlikely but if they all have sunroofs suction cup mounts are great.

Can anyone who runs the Swarfworks mount confirm whether or not the Starlink antenna sits above or below the factory GPS/satellite antennas that are also on the roof?

Trying to figure out what the height implications are of using that mount.

I think I like the window suction cup mount the best for now. Like you mentioned, need to be able to swap between vehicles.

Trying to figure out what the height implications are of using that mount.

I would love to be able to confirm but haven’t gotten mine installed yet - it’s been a long process, too little time on my end - but it is supposed to sit slightly below//flush with the antenna mounts. The NMO radio antennas would be the high point. I eventually plan on a 1/4 wave VHF and the stealth for a GRMS.

Just picked up one of these mounts to attach the Starlink Mini to my crossbars. Haven’t tested it out yet on a trip, but it feels really solid.

And yes, the shade can close but not 100% of the way. You'll have a tiny bit of an opening for the wire. However, it will close 100% if you want to hide the wire and reroute it but since I rarely use mine, I don't mind the shade a bit open.

I have tried several, just make sure that the suction cup uses flush screws to fasten onto the bracket.

Some mounting cups use knobs to fasten to the bracket and this will not allow the curtain to close.

I hardwired the power cable and ran it through the A Pillar, under the headliner and feed it through sunroof opening.

This allows the curtain to fully close, if desired.

I used a similar mount to Optimus. Ran power into the cabin via the pass-through wires and mounted an on/off switch in the driver console side pocket. From there, went to passenger side C-pillar where I mounted a step-up transformer. In that corner of the Pano roof there is break in the frame where you can pass the Starlink cable through. The sunshade closes completely in this configuration and if you take down the Starlink, it’s cable can rest along the passenger side of the track and allow the glass roof to fully open as well.

Got warm enough at work I felt comfortable playing. God damn those new screw mounts behind the brake light are a pain when it’s not quite warm enough…

Sorry for the constrained picture, but tried to crop it so you can get an idea of top of the antennas vs StarLink…it’s pretty much level with the highest part of the antenna.

Got mine attached to a builtright Molle panel with the magnets and the veritas vans mount then secured it with a strap just in case. Will eventually screw it down to the molle panel.

Starlink shows me ~$600 for the mini, ships in 1-2 weeks.
Amazon and most others show ~$350 for the mini.
Best Buy shows that mini for $250 (in-store pickup).

Is there any difference in models?

I also was pretty sure not too long ago the Mini was $50/month, but it seems to be 100g for $140. Does it fluctuate that much or am I missing something?
