You're damn right, life is too short so you once you can confirm you're coming down, I will just take the entire week off!

making 2 trips out of these travels

after the CDT trip with @TellurideTremor, Moab will still be a little warm for my liking. that would be mid-aug to early-sept. so, new plans are to be home and convoy with @DTX2023Tremor & whoever else is going on this trip from our neck of the woods.

do Moab after we're done in Sedona. that'll make it late sept. season is way more hospitable then

I was just in PHX for a conference recently.

Rented a truck and took it out on some of the Mesa area trails that OnX had listed. Did the same last year in September when I was in town for an racing event. @AZsurveyor it didn't dawn on me until the last day that I should have reached out. Next time.

Got me thinking it would be fun to come down for a tour de zona offroad overland road trip.

So, I'd come down from SLC for this meetup, please keep me posted!

Here is another thought - once again due the highly popular/touristy spot, let's start to think on dinner plans if any?

Sedona is busy YEAR-AROUND and September is no different.

I know of a few spots but one in particular is a must whenever we're in the area but reservations are required. Mariposa Latin grill

I've been in a few times for dinner but got lucky and our family is small so they took us in.

For lunch, they're not as strict and I've never bothered doing reservations but we get there early enough plus it's been during the week.

For weekends, I would recommend reservations any time of the day.

We love this spot.

If we want to get out of the Sedona area, an alternative is Cottonwood which is only 25 minutes away (Southwest) and there are some good dinning options there as well.

5 minutes south of Sedona is Oak Creek Village which also offer plenty of dinning options.

Your confused In the morning I have pre lunch, lunch is lunch, and in the evening I have post lunch. See it's easy!

You will find hotels all throughout Sedona, particularly along the main highway which isn't a very large stretch. Sedona does not have a bad area.

You can also stay in Oak Creek Village, it's 5 miles south of Sedona.
