S&B 60 gal tank

Can the skid plate be modified to work with the bigger fuel tank?

Perfect, thank you Sir.

I want to install the S&B 60 gal before the end of June. I was just going to do it myself, but between actually finding the time and then doing “something” with the old tank I might just pay a shop to install. Any recommendations on shops in the Austin/Central Tx area?

I might still go cheap and order and install myself… but what are folks doing with the old tank? I don’t think I want to store that thing.

This is a good shop: https://thoroffroadtx.com/

Telluride got alot done to his truck there.

I did the tank install myself and took longer than expected, as usual, due to fasteners with messed up threads out of the box.

Anyone on here from Washington and had one installed from someone? I’d eventually want to do this for the truck…

My local landfill took mine.

You're in ATX area... IIRC isnt there one out by Del Valle?

The install is super easy. Honestly, its one of the easier S&B tank installs, when comparing to other makes/models -- should you decide to DIY.

If youre looking to order, give us call or shoot us a message and we can hook you up.

Tank installed. Adjustments made in forscan.

Question for those with the S&B 60 gal - do you really get 60 gallons into it?

I ask because I poured ~2 gal from a jerry can in, confirmed the engine started, and went straight to fill up. I got 54 gallons in at the QT, so ~56 gallons are in there. I'm not complaining about 20+more than stock, but I really wanted to see that total hit close to 60.

Mine is very close to 60, what did your DTE read?

My DTE was 900.

But since that bad boy was empty, I know it only took 56 gallons. Like always I waited a minute after the auto shutoff, and kept going. Then again. Then again. About the 10th time I just figured I was asking for a mess so I stopped.

the ambient temperature will cause the fuel to expand (or contract if cold) depending on when it was delivered, about 1percent per 15 degrees, still don't see a 4-5 gallon variation. Maybe, there was a slight incline and some got trapped in?

My thought as well, so many fuel pads are not level. Who knows!!
