S&B includes stuff so you can reuse the factory skid plate. Can the skid plate be modified to work with the bigger fuel tank?

Not with a TSD Fuel Card they aren't!!I have the S&B, I never go to truck stops for fuel, as they are always exponentially more expensive.
This is a good shop: https://thoroffroadtx.com/I want to install the S&B 60 gal before the end of June. I was just going to do it myself, but between actually finding the time and then doing “something” with the old tank I might just pay a shop to install. Any recommendations on shops in the Austin/Central Tx area?
I might still go cheap and order and install myself… but what are folks doing with the old tank? I don’t think I want to store that thing.
Thanks for the recommendation. This is a good shop: https://thoroffroadtx.com/
Telluride got alot done to his truck there.
I did the tank install myself and took longer than expected, as usual, due to fasteners with messed up threads out of the box.
I paid a shop to do mine. Dispose of the older one, reprogramed the gauges and if I have any issues they will take of them. Best I've seen on a top off/fill up has been 1126 miles to empty fyi! Thanks for the recommendation.
My local landfill took mine.I might still go cheap and order and install myself… but what are folks doing with the old tank? I don’t think I want to store that thing.
The install is super easy. Honestly, its one of the easier S&B tank installs, when comparing to other makes/models -- should you decide to DIY.I want to install the S&B 60 gal before the end of June. Question for those with the S&B 60 gal - do you really get 60 gallons into it?
I ask because I poured ~2 gal from a jerry can in, confirmed the engine started, and went straight to fill up. I got 54 gallons in at the QT, so ~56 gallons are in there. I'm not complaining about 20+more than stock, but I really wanted to see that total hit close to 60.
Mine is very close to 60, what did your DTE read?Tank installed. Adjustments made in forscan.

My thought as well, so many fuel pads are not level. Who knows!!the ambient temperature will cause the fuel to expand (or contract if cold) depending on when it was delivered, about 1percent per 15 degrees, still don't see a 4-5 gallon variation. Maybe, there was a slight incline and some got trapped in?
