That’s interesting. It’s been quite a while now and although I don’t go down to zero, I still fill up around 50-75 DTE and I’m still only putting in bait 52-54 gallons at that time, so I could still use zero as my fill up point, but just don’t like to push itThere's no way I could do this in my truck, I have had it say I have 75-100mi DTE and filled up with 57.5 gallons. I have reprogrammed the tank size with ForScan and did the PCM/IPC change, as well as AFE Bias calibration. 100mi is my zero now.
it's very weird, makes no sense to me, seems to be an issue with a few people. Maybe I should convert it back to a 32g tank lolThat’s interesting. Has your computer vs hand calculated MPG been the same since you did AFE bias adjustment? Mine has been exact most of the time, and the few times it’s off, it’s only been 0.1. That’s the only thing I could think would cause the DTE to be off vs the gas remaining. But either way, as long as we know what our real numbers are, I love having the large tank.it's very weird, makes no sense to me, seems to be an issue with a few people. Example: I filled up yesterday with 52.837 gallons and the fuel gauge was just under a 1/4 tank showing 200mi DTE.
Yes, it's still typically ± 0.1 - 0.2 with fuelly.Has your computer vs hand calculated MPG been the same since you did AFE bias adjustment? I’ll update my post as it’s been much longer now. I’ve since had a tune and I’ve readjusted the bias. Now the DTE is reading much more accurate, and it’s much closer to marching what the remaining fuel when I fill up. It’s been nice to see it learn and level out properly. So I never have gone down to 0 DTE. I fill up once I have less than 100 miles to empty, and that seems to be pretty accurate nownice! I just did my first fill after changing my AFE bias. Filled at just under 50 DTE, still had about 7-8 gallons in the tank. So I think using 0 DTE as my fill time is doable, if my OCD mind will allow it
I can only fill mine at the first click on the big truck pumpsMy stock filler neck has been modified when the flatbed went on so I can no longer fill by S&B tank at full speed with the big truck pumps, but I swear when I had the S&B tank and my normal stock truckbed I could.. and I did install that one way flow valve too.
Yes, install was a breeze.
You could absolutely be right... Maybe just the optimist in me thinks that I was able to back then.I can only fill mine at the first click on the big truck pumps
On mine - OEM and now S&B - big truck pumps - 1st click - anything more and it shuts off.You could absolutely be right... Maybe just the optimist in me thinks that I was able to back then.
Did you have the check valve installed? On mine - OEM and now S&B - big truck pumps - 1st click - anything more and it shuts off.
No I did notDid you have the check valve installed?
That's good! Not gonna install it either to be honest. No I did not
I have the S&B, I never go to truck stops for fuel, as they are always exponentially more expensive. On mine - OEM and now S&B - big truck pumps - 1st click - anything more and it shuts off.
