I don't know for certain but I'm 99% sure it wont (unfortunately).
I've watched multiple install videos both from Gateking and of random folks on YouTube from having been asked this by another person.

The issue i saw is the way the top portion 'cycles' as you manipulate the gate. I designed the cover piece to sit tight against the bolt/cable eyelet to reduce as much prying/pry-points as possible. Because of this, theres not much room for anything unless it follows the stock setup. They use a bushing (as they should) to offset the mechanism from the body. This just compounds the issues. I'd be 100% sure it doesnt fit but i havent actually tried it.

I take great pride in spending the time during design to not only make a functional product but to make it easy to install and not require you to drill on your truck.

An $80k+ truck deserves the design time to avoid permanent modifications just to protect it.

Just so everyone's clear why i'm jibbing him... @ajos0512 won the LightGuard at the Big Bend event last year. He actually received the previous version of the LG that i never took to market due to it being an inferior design primarily with security but also in aesthetics.

I sent him the updated design once i was able to get my production issues worked out.. but thats been a while now so... no excuses

Dude! It’s Florida ! It’s so HOT outside! But trust me, now that I know it will only take 5 minutes - they are going on this weekend!! I have so many truck projects (big bend meetup prep, etc) stacking up in my garage it’s not even funny! They will for sure be installed before my next trip thru Texas!

And yes - very proud owner of the 1.0 version of this product as well…that set will live on in the aftermarket hall of fame forever!

Just got your kit in the mail the other day and just started to install everything, but got stuck on the taillight plug didn't want to come lose but after several tries and I'm being really easy with it cause most times I go gorilla strong and break shit, but got it removed and then got swarmed by a bunch of bugs -nighttime now so will finish up tomorrow.

Mine is still a pain to unplug despite the multiple R&Rs i performed during product development. I can only imagine the newer trucks being worse.

You’ll be happy to know I finally got it done! Not because it complicated or anything at all…it was just me delaying.

If no one can open the tailgate then no one will see the imperfections and if I don't look, I won't see.

Great phrase by the way, we use all the time with our clients - we are land surveyors, we are dirty, and to the point (literally), this is not your typical office where you can come in and talk about your life while you sip on some of our coffee, so that I can throw you our sales pitch.
