OmahaBravo Designs website now live

Attended a conference this past week otherwise I would have been at Big Bend. Between evening socials I was able to email my customers but thats about it so I want to also update yall...

I changed the design on the LightGuard. The original design with the cover plate worked but this new design has proven to be stronger and better looking, thus the change.

LightGuard will still be a two-piece system. The base bracket will still mount using the one T50 cable bolt and have the two bends down the length of the bracket. I eliminated the entire top piece, the raised portion of the bracket that the striker bolt protrudes through. Instead, the base bracket will lay against the wall and be cut out for the top fastener (everything below the cable bolt remains unchanged in shape/form/function).
The cover piece will be made from billet 6061 aluminum and cnc-machined. It not only covers the T50 bolt, it encapsulates it (the t50 head will reside in a cavity machined out - one less pry point for a thief). The base of this cover piece also has a cavity machined out for the top tail light fastener to fit into. This cover piece is fastened to the base bracket using five security fasteners that are recessed into the cover piece. Not only will access to the screws be limited, access to the drive bits will be limited because I'm sourcing the screws through a premier security fastener company who has the drive style patented.

Lastly, raw is no longer an option nor will i be powder coating. I am only offering black anodized moving forward. This will provide better protection and eliminate tolerance variability ensuring quality fit each and every time.

All of the cutting, bending, machining and anodizing will be performed right here in Oklahoma, my home state.

This is forcing me to raise my price but my aim is a top-notch tail light protection device, not 'a certain price point'.

I’ve seen the graphic renderings and they looks amazing. Very much looking forward to the finished product!

CoverGuard (yup, I'm sticking with the silly naming convention)

I worked with a security fastener company to obtain #8x3/4" stainless sheet metal screws. These fasteners replace the stockers that thieves can easily remove to open your tailgate.

Honestly, I didn't want to get into the hardware business but no one makes a kit to replace these. You are on your own to source everything.

...until now

Shoutout to JD (BTBRV) for providing me the opportunity to send him some of my brackets to review on his channel.

I enjoy making the things I do and with his help, more folks will at least know about them. Many thanks, JD.

Update on LightGuard

Expected to ship late June.
Just contracted with a shop that hasnt missed a beat communicating effectively and delivered my first articles in less time than they quoted.
I've done a lot of talking. Hoping to do some walking next month. Thanks yall.

Yall, i'm just besides myself. If you would have told me a year ago that a guy with that much reach would put out a positive video about something I make, I'd have set a Guiness record for the amount of fleece i'd have put out.

The whole thing wasnt positive though (although it ends positive!). He struggled installing due to the nylocks. Because of his feedback (he's the first to mention it), I ordered lock washers and hex nuts. This will make TailGuard installation much easier. They came in today and will go out with every TailGuard set moving forward, including all the orders that were generated from his video.

Congrats bud!

I need to get in and get all that stuff ordered despite me not too worried about theft because thieves don't care if you're worried or not, it can happen!

Nylocks are still better and worth the extra effort.

Got a new something im going to be making available soon. Onboard air or not, i believe these to be helpful.

Just need to finish up the drawings for the various types ill launch with.

These arent universal. If yall have any particular brands yall want to see, let me know.

3d printed covers for male and female air fittings.

I did a quick search on etsy and didnt find anyone selling them like i plan on. Only one i saw was a dust cap for air tools.
I dont expect to sell a lot but I've drawn up the male and female files where i only have to input certain specs from the fitting and it'll update the entire file. No sense in not offering these.
PLUS, I feel like i've really nailed the settings on printing TPU. These turn out pretty clean and the layer adhesion is great, no separation at all.

Oh my goodness….

Having seen several iterations of this design the final product is insane! It has been a little bit of a wait but man is it dialed in now.

@OmahaBravo thank you for designing in marketing this for us all. Seriously, I’m amazed how good the final product came out!!

Now, off to be Ceracoted white to match the TRAMPER!

Ok so I’ll just ask…

Anyone out there a certified Ceracoteologist? I don’t need someone to do the work but I’d like to pick the white closest to Oxford White without ordering test samples. Anyone have any idea how to cross reference their colors???

I’ll probably just do Arctic white and call it good since it doesn’t have to be 100%. Figured it can’t hurt to ask.
