Last night I went to bed around 10:30pm, and the train was still bound for Selkirk. When I checked this am at 6am, it stated it has left Selkirk and is bound for East Brookfield MA. Now, I am not sure if the "merchandise" was offloaded in Selkirk, or if it's heading to MA. No weight has been available on the rail car this entire trip. That would be handy to know if the car is full or empty. A carrier can take the truck to my dealer in VT in about 2 hours form Selkirk, or about 2 hours from East Brookfield MA. So it's a question mark either way. Both yards have space for vehicle offload, but East Brookfield looks HUGE compared to Selkirk. My guess - we are hauling to MA and then trucking to VT. We will see...

Not aware of how we can track trucks - so this may be the end of my updates until the truck arrives.

You try palsapp? When the truck arrives, they will have to do an inspection and pull protective film and stickers and clean it. I didn’t wait and showed up to do paperwork while they finished and then by the time we finished the paperwork, we just had to wait for them to fill up the tank.

Sounds like you’ll get it in a few days though

Agree... I didn't catch this when I was looking at E. Brookfield yesterday, but there is Jack Cooper Transport facility there as well, which is a common carrier for final truck delivery to the dealer.

I didn't. I have the rail car info. You can obtain that from the dealer or a friend to has access to VVR. I set up an auto dial for my tracker and it works slick. In my case it's 1-800-235-2352,,1,,,8181492,,,,707165,,,,##

The format above is the 800 number to CSX. The commas are pauses. The initial "1" is to track location. The 8181492 is the alpha car number. The 707165 is the number of the car. The double pound tells the automated system I have no more cars to trace.

I do not use that. I know my dealer will be sending me an email - because he never calls. lol. Once the truck arrives I will hear form him (he works on Saturdays too) and then the truck will go through the PDI. I will be driving to the dealer today to ensure they have the winch info.

Smart move. My winch install was missing three bolts. The mechanics told the salesman the bolts were not installed so they would not interfere with the rope. The updated procedure directed them to install the bolts the opposite way to the threads would point away from the winch. I sent them the procedure and it took them about an hour to do it right. I posted a picture of the three missing bolts on this thread a couple of pages back. Here is the picture again.

This is where, once I knew my truck arrived in Bham, I called the dealership nearly every day and asked for any update on 1) how many vehicles they had at the railyard, 2) if they could verify my truck was in fact there (I drove up there more than once, but couldn't see anything due to where the train cars were parked) and 3) If they had ANY idea when my truck would be slated for loading onto a semi and brought the 20 min to the dealership. My 350 sat there for 6 days before it was finally brought to the dealer. Granted, I was impatient, but due to the Mercedes plant being 30 miles down the interstate, along with a Hyundai plant 100 miles south in Montgomery, and Honda plant 50 miles east, I knew semi haulers would be at a premium. So all in all, wasn't too bad. Glad to see it's within striking distance for you!

I work in the rail industry and I can tell you when the rail car arrives at the offload point they get unloaded very quickly. The are allowed a certain number of hour before the loading facility starts to get charged extra for the car not being release to be picked up.. They don't want that and the railroad wants the car back to reload it. Most of the delay is with the shipper to dealer as it comes down to the number of trucks and drivers they have available. I was lucky when I tracked mine it arrived and the loading facility at 12:08 on 9/12. I was called but my salesman on 9/15 just after 5 pm the truck was at the dealership. I told them due to work I would be in about 1pm on the 9/17 to pick it up. He said that was great gave then some time to unwrap and clean and dirk it pickup in transit. They had all the paperwork ready so I was in the dealer for about 2 hours.

Mystery solved. The truck was carried to E. Brookfield MA via CSX today. For giggles I have tried to connect via FordPass a few times, but again it requires a rail employee moving the truck to hit "yes" on the screen. That's a LONG shot!

Looks like we are awaiting transport via semi now.

Next stop Brattleboro Vermont!!!!!!
