📢 DEAL FordTremor.com February 2026 Group Buy!

Really interested in this upgrade. Is there another solution on the auto dimming mirror other than taping the OEM PCB to the back of it?
Just use the mount in the box that covers over and straps to the factory mirror. Easy peasy!

Wondering if there is a way to route the camera cable into the third brake light versus out the sides for a nice clean look?
I went through the bottom of the third brake light to mitigate rain and dust penetration. Sucks a little bit of cable has to hang out.

Send a few pics when you have them...thanks!

So...force everyone to pay a price to join the forum? Horrible idea IMPO and have never seen a forum do this to its members.
Nobody is forcing anyone to pay, but speaking only for myself, I know I get more value from the forum than the annual $20 cost. These things cost money to run and we are all driving trucks that cost $75-110k. $20 is a small donation for the all the information in this forum. Add the group buy discounts on there and it would more than likely pay for your forum fee if you just participate in one buy.
Just my opinion.

I am really thankful for this opportunity and what Modified along with O4sshd has done for us to get us this group buy for the forum. Thank you very much!! I am wanting to sign up for it but before I do I had some questions.

Guys, forgive my OCD here with my questions and my limited understanding. I have read through the whole thread and also the link to the install of the unit by Phil314 https://www.fordtremor.com/threads/wolfbox-g900tripro-bumper-cam-install-complete.22530/ I really appreciated his thread and the fact that he is willing to share his drawing for the 3D print found here https://www.printables.com/model/1464997-wolfbox-rear-camera-mount-for-super-duty-2017. Thank you!

So Here are my questions on the WOLFBOX G900TriPro Bumper Version 4K Sony STARVIS 2 Mirror Dash Cam with Exclusive 30-Month Warranty found here https://wolfbox.com/products/wolfbo...dash-cam?utm_source=landing&utm_medium=banner

1. The two cameras are meant to be able to be placed typically somewhere on the front bumper and also somewhere on the back bumper or as some have done to mount it up inside looking through the rear window. I am assuming that you have a dash camera which is on the backside of the mirror itself so that gives you 3 cameras. Am I correct in my understanding? If so I am assuming that is what gives the 3 camera views. And thus you can see all 3 cameras on the mirror. It makes sense since what I have gathered once you replace or cover over your rear-view mirror it makes sense to have the rear camera inside for your rear-view.

2. There has been discussion on getting the mount to replace your factory Rear-view mirror and mounting it directly to the mount on the windshield. It seems like that capability is not included in the kit and thus you need to purchase a separate mount for that which 04sshd has provided a discount code in order to purchase that. Am I reading that correctly?

3. I also understand that if you do replace the factory Rear-view mirror that you need to pull the electronics off of it so that you keep the factory capabilities shown in post #56. Am I correct in that? It is talked about in post #44 on the build thread https://www.fordtremor.com/threads/wolfbox-g900tripro-bumper-cam-install-complete.22530/page-3

4. Then there is this discussion of this FitDVR https://fitdvr.com/collections/ford?sort_by=best-selling&filter.p.tag=Ford on this build thread https://www.fordtremor.com/threads/wolfbox-g900tripro-bumper-cam-install-complete.22530/page-3 Posts #42. I get the impression that if you use the electronics from the factory Rear-view mirror that you would not need this. But I was wondering if there is still any benefit in having this other than the power. Clarification would be great on this as well.

5. I also saw where there is a license plate mount that you can purchase as well if you were to want to mount it that way. Will the code that we get when we sign up to purchase this through the group buy be able to be used for these extra pieces?

6. Looking at the website further I see that they have the Extended Pack which includes all these additional items for factory mount, license plate mount etc. See pic below. Will the group buy include this or is this something seperate?

7. For those reading this that have already installed this system do you like it? Do you regret not getting another dashcam system?

8. Do you have any regrets in losing the factory Rear-View mirror?

Thanks for hanging with me on my long post and my OCD!

Not disagreeing that $20 is chump change and, once I take ownership of my truck, I will certainly join as I have on many other forms. My point is to limit group buys to paying members is not the answer.

how is this sealed? just RTV in the area of the cable passing thru ?

I really think Wolfbox should include a keychain with a wolf's head and a tag reading "What's In The Box?":

Sorry, @04sshd will chime in soon to answer all your questions 😁.

1. This is a stand alone system supplemental to any factory cameras on your truck. Itt comes with 3 cameras that all can be displayed individually or simultaneously in the 3 way camera view. One camera always point forward (fixed on back side of mirror), 2nd camera is 2.5k resolution, designed to be a rear camera, 3rd camera is a 1080p user option for location but designed to be a bumper or trail camera. You can make it a baby camera, suspension camera, trail camera, driver view camera. Etc. Whatever it looks at is what gets recorded.

2. The optional OEM replacement mount is not included in this kit. The kit is designed to use rubber bungee that stretch over the stock mirror to hold it in place. The OEM mount is not expensive but it gives you a cleaner look.

3. If you option for OEM style mount AND you have an auto dim rear view mirror there is a 16 pin plug for your mirror. Eliminating the mirror removes the PCB inside the mirror this plugs into. That board contains light sensors front and rear that dim your mirror. To keep the truck happy its suggested to pull this board from the mirror and plug it back in behind the wolfbox mirror.

4. I had the FitCamX before going to wolfbox and it was a good camera, I just didnt like that there was no LCD so I never knew if it was working or not and connecting the app to it every time to see if it was working was a pain. They do come with a 16 pin power tap harness which can be used to tap power for the wolfbox. I opted NOT to use this because the wolfbox had parking detection where if you get hit while parked it wakes up and starts recording. The install for park detection required a 3 wire install. Not a 2 wire install like FitCamX uses. The 3 wires are constant hot 12v, constant ground 12v, and hot with ignition 12v.

5. The group buy code is just for the G900TriPro. I do have an affiliate code you can use for discounts on any and all accessories on a seperate purchase (cant compound discounts on same transactions)

6. They are willing to extend the same discount amount to the extended pack as well. The difference would be whatever the price difference is between the two kits.

7. Ive had Rexing cameras for years theyre ok, I went FitCamX for the 23 Tremor originally, it was a nice camera, couldn't even tell it was there as far as oem fit and finish. The Wolfbox hands down has the best video quality out of any camera I've used so far.

8. Theres nothing the old rearview did for me that isn't being handled better by the wolfbox camera.

Currently, I just have it feeding under the light which has that foam weather stripping. Didn't want to add so much or modify a lot unless I tried out this system first. Probably just get some RTV.

Do note that I didn't get as fancy as the other guy with a whole thread on it. Honestly, I'm not bothered by exposed cables, so you will see some portions visible.

Just make 100% sure that all wires are behind the side air bags and the air bag in the A-pillar. It appears in one of your pics as you came from the rear to the front removing the door gasket that you were not fully behind the side air bags. I always wrap my wire with pieces of foam and tape or wire tie them every 6 inches or so so that they stay pushed up behind the air bags pushing against the headliner and can't come lose or make noise when driving. VERY DANGEROUS to run wires with the air bags where the wire can interfere with their deployment. I have installed car electronics professionally for over 40 years and you truly need to rerun that wire behind your air bags.

Damn. Just bought one of these for my wife's 4Runner.

I would 100% sign on if I didn't have to tape PCB board to the back. Tell them we want a case for it 😂. Better yet, someone here design a 3D print for one!
