Drivers door handle swap

I had the non-lock handle installed on my 2017 and they still pried the handle assembly out and got access to the truck. In theory this mod may stall a less determined or less experienced thief but it's nothing more than an added deterrent. My best advice, make sure your insurance is up to date and stay out of San Antonio, TX.

I agree that if they really want your truck, they'll take it. It is all about having as many layers of security as possible to make the time and effort to take your truck (absent using a tow truck) not worth it to a thief so they move on to an easier target. Even if they take the truck, we've seen some examples of the benefits of GPS tracking to locating and recovery. I think the bigger issue that many of us face is a replacement truck is so difficult to come by. Even when the supply chain issues get sorted out, it will continue to be more difficult to get a Tremor given the limited availability of this option from the factory.

Agreed! It's the penalty we pay for driving the most wanted truck by thieves, especially here in Texas where it's the preferred truck of the cartels theft ring.

Absolutely nothing against the handle swap methods that have been already posted in this thread but I just wanted to offer up one other option that is extremely easy. Each of the MY22 handle covers have two tabs that must be pulled apart simultaneously to allow them to be separated from the handle. After pulling the tabs apart, the cover can simply be rotated outward without removing the handle itself. I completed the handle swap this evening after work in under a minute. I have a video of the swap but it is too large to add to the post.

FYI, this will work on any 20 thru 22.
