Drivers door handle swap

Does anyone have the part number for a 22 passenger handle in chrome. Every time I ask the dealer they try to sell me the chrome slip over covers. I want the whole mechanism as shown above in the factory chrome appearance package handles.

I already have jimmy jammers and want to eliminate the hole in the handle.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you give the dealer your VIN they should be able to order the whole mechanism and it should come chrome as your vin will indicate you have a platinum. That is what common sense tells me, lol.

Pass Chrome Door Handle with Keyless - FL3Z-1522404-EJPTM

I ordered two of them when I swapped my painted handles to chrome and eliminated the keyed cylinder, and can confirm it's the correct fit.

For me, it is because of the pictures below. I was sitting in a client's boardroom yesterday in San Antonio doing a sales presentation and right outside the window my truck alarm went off. I grabbed my FOB out of my pocket and looked at the truck to turn off the alarm,. and saw someone in my truck. They broke the key lock and destroyed the lock on my Console Vault (Console Vault customer service is awesome - free replacement already on the way - going keyed instead off combo due to much harder to grab with channel locks). I am eliminating one way or another that key cylinder so it is harder to get in the truck.

The whole thing took less than 30 second from alarm going off, to back in the getaway car.

Did they actually get into the ConsoleVault or did the lock held up and is "just" damaged?

So I have the Jimmijamer kit with lock core delete. I have not installed it as my driver door lock actuator has been broken for months. FINALLY got into the dealer to have it repaired. So I COULD finally install and still be able to open the doors.

One question I had though, could you swap the driver and passenger front handles? so you still have a lock, but it is on the side that nobody expects?

I assume your serious? Your still leaving your truck vulnerable. You need to delete it and del
Sorry, you need to delete it and all four lock pull mechanisms. They are never used.

Maybe they are not used by you, but we use them often enough with kids in the back seat. I also spent months waiting to get a single lock actuator repaired by Ford, so forgive me if I don't put absolute confidence in a system with components purposely removed.

Your lock pulls must be different than mine were as when my doors were locked there was not enough of the pull exposed for me to get a grip on to unlock a door. But there is enough exposed for the thief to punch a tiny hole directly by the lock pull and then use a pick to unlock the door. This seems to be what is now being done more often to gain access.

With my actuator broken, the lock pull on the driver (yes, barely visible) had to be used to lock the door.

Maybe in a few months when I am comfortable that the lock motor is going to stay working I might pull those rods.

At the end of the day you can drive yourself crazy with trying to protect these trucks. It's a crime in and of itself that is the state we live in today. Then you hurt or kill someone trying to steal your property and who gets arrested, not the thug!

Thank you Sir. The dealer even with the vin couldn’t find me the right parts.

How about the pulls on your rear doors? Those are the only ones that get used in my truck, by the kid. The fronts when locked leave nothing to grab but the rears stand up higher and can easily be pulled up. Also, the front doors will unlock when the interior door handle is pulled, but the rears do not operate that way so it is nice to have the ability to lift the nob on the rears.

Yeah. I had to hunt for that one. Dealer couldn't get it for me either since my vin doesn't call for the chrome option.

Is this still an issue for the 23 MY?
Not sure if the lock cylinder still sticks out like the pre '23 models. Previously they had separate plastic handle bases w the cylinder protruding about an inch or so. When the handle is lifted the cylinder is completely exposed and accessable, making it an easy access point for thieves.
The '23 has the handle in plastic but the base is actually an indentation into the metal door skin, so it might be better protected.

Went to order the door handle it’s showing as an F-150 handle, mind confirming the part one more time?

Was able to get the part number for a platinum JC3Z2522404ECPTM

Edited to correct part number for platinum door handle. Sitting with dealer as I type this and is correct

It's the same handle. The 150 and SD trucks share cabs and doors at various points. This one is correct for our body style.
