Data and analysis to find the best oil for the 6.7

Agreed. I've been using them for years and they eb and flow. I'm curious what your results are.
I did a ~10K mile test for shiggles to see what the results are, even though I'd probably settle for 7.5K for a drain interval. Can't wait for the results.

@toximus Here is the latest one I got back from them, for a 7800 mile one (shows the first one I did too with them at 4400 miles.

It's interesting they mentioned check for leaks, as I had the hot side pipe blow off recently, but not sure if that would contribute as it's under pressure, not vacuum. Could create a venturi effect though, but I never seemed to be hurting for a loss of boost lol.

Pure speculation here: I wouldn't be surprised if it looks perfect and 15k is on the table for unloaded highway driving. 10k may be the limit for lots of stop and go or heavy hauling.

Once I'm out of warranty I'm going to try pushing it as long as oil analysis supports it.

See my above report posted for 7800 miles.

@toximus Are my results bad?
I don't have enough experience with the 6.7 to know. Are you possibly driving on roads with a lot of dust? When I drove 5k miles through Canada in 2022 it took 2 oil changes to flush my 4.0 Jeep even though the air filter was working perfectly and I replaced the air filter every 2.5k miles. Issue was lots and lots of dust. No issue after that.

Oil results lag between changes so I wouldn't worry too much or directly tie one result to one oil.

The report is talking about your intake piping not the post-turbo piping. What (if any) air intake system are you using?

Understood that, but the hot pipe blowing off is unusual. Stock pipe for intake.

Are we talking about your oil report ??? Cause it seems you are confusing the oil report telling you to check your intake for leaks (due to elevate silicone) as compared to your turbo hot side popping off.

So you need to go out, open the hood, inspect the air filter and housing for proper sealing as well as the connections.

All those components are fine with no issues.

Okay. Done deal. So your oil report must have findings that are too critical in values or not accurate. I say this as your values jumped over 365% from the last report alone...that's got to raise some eyebrows.
Not to mention (if I'm reading it right) that 365% silicone increase was over roughly 3,600 miles of driving between the reported samples?? Wow.....  :oops:

When I get my next and final report we will find out.

Not sure why they want me to try another 8K on the oil lol.
My guess is that it's probably not that concerning at this point and, if there's a problem, would be a slowly progressing problem that wouldn't show enough in a shorter oil change anyway.

I feel like 10K miles is the most I should push the interval.

I didn't realize you hadn't changed the oil. Yeah... I'd change it.
Already did at 10,250 miles. This was the last sample I took and the only other report I'll get is maybe one more 5K oil change to see what the levels return back down to.

Fuel % shows a trace, 4.2 TBN says the oil is alive and well. Now that you are seeing T6 with 10k is fine....are you going to stay at that interval? Not an unusual interval at all, just need to make that decision.
