BMC fog lights. What lights? What colors? How do you like them?

These terminate about half way through the low beam output and do not blind people.

100% agree. I often drive with the max pods on, not once did i have anyone flash me. They don’t blind at all.

However, as soon i additionally turn on my SSC2 driving pods next to the SS3 fogs, i immediately get flashed by the oncoming traffic.

The Diode Dynamics SS3 Max in SAE fog is exactly what you're after. These terminate about half way through the low beam output and do not blind people. I even have the passenger aimed up slightly higher.

That's awesome! When they come out with a dual light set up for 23+ I'll probably do 1 of each- white and yellow.

I went with diode dynamics Max pods. Not a fan of baja designs because they don’t do backlighting. Every other brand have caught up by now on backlighting except baja designs. To each their own.

I think you need more lights.

"Factory amber" all day! Out with the yellow, in with the orangeish 😁.

Which fog light kit did you install here?
This looks amazing. I can't find this for my 2024 F350 on the DD website

That's the brackets he's running but he's using the Max SS3 pods vs the pro's. If you contact Jake or Brian at BMC via phone they may be able to set you up with the max versions instead of the pro that's on the drop down menu.

I'm running the SS3 max SAE fog in selective yellow which is on my factory fog switch and then the new SSC2 2.0 combo beam which is powered by the Diode Dynamics D Switch. I just installed these last night and spoke with Brian at BMC and said I was the first to have the new C2's put in the kit. He sent me different mounts to try to make it work.

As far as running the lights on the factory switch, I ran these same Max version on my F150 with the factory switch for 3 years with zero issues. If you're concerned about it, you could always order with the C2 2.0 pro in SAE fog which pulls 23W and use the SS3 as a driving light.

The lights really look good on your truck. Diode Dynamics is really nice and that is exactly what I plan on running on my rig. How do you like the D-switch. I'm looking at installing the switch in the center console with the SwarfWorks mount. I agree that I like the backlight options with the DD products. Beautiful truck.
Thanks for sharing.

The D Switch is worth every penny. I ran an 8 gang Auxbeam before but needed to upgrade with all the additional lighting. The added features are a huge bonus.

Thank you, it's only a 3 month adventure so far and there's a lot more planned.

Diode has their Labor Day sale and the d switch is 10% off too.

What set up do you have for the lights between your tow hooks?

Have the same setup as @DTX2023Tremor clear S2's wired to OEM fog light harness amber Squadron Pro's on upfitter plus two amber S2's on the Trail Guard -

@The Evil Twin - yes people flash high beams when running clear S2's yet think it's better running them being able to see as we have open ranges here and want to pass up the opportunity to have a deer, elk, or steer as hood ornament

Yo @Tugboat

I just got my dirtgaurd installed last week. The lights weren't available yet & I pick them up next week. S2 pro's w/ clear combo lenses. I figured I can change the lens out once I get the OEM fogs upgraded to the BMC kit, which I'm looking to order and install in the next few weeks, which gets me to my question since you have the setup closest to what I'm looking at.

I'm trying to sort out the lighting best I can, and I don't see the weather you do, except that I do go up to Reno a few times a year, and the last run was over Donner in a brief opening during a late December front coming through this last year. That, and I see my share of coastal fog. So I'm thinking on my best options for traveling year-round pulling the trailer.

My thinking is probably running wide throw amber lenses across the S2 pros on the dirtgaurd since they're down low, running clear S2 Sports with wide throw lenses on the outside of the BMC housing, and clear combo lens on the Squadron Pros on the inside.

Given your experience with what you have, would you have done anything different or possibly give me any constructive comments before I pull the trigger with the BMC kit order?

Went with a Zone 1,2,3 approach
  • Dirt Guard running amber on Baja S2 Pro's for Zone 1
  • BMC Kit Squadron Pro's Amber Zone 2 - think you'd be just fine for your use with Clear Driving/Combo
  • BMC Kit S2's with clear lens Zone 3
Wired the S2's on Trail Guard to Upfitter switch 1
Wired BMC kit Squadron 2's to Upfitter switch 2
Wired BMC kit S2's to OEM fog light harness

Picture of Trail Guard S2's still with OEM fog lights to give you an idea of beam pattern

Have discovered in practical use the Trail Guard S2's and Squadron Pro's are extremely useful giving wide pattern illumination perfect for dark country roads rain/fog/snow
The BMC S2's clear lens, connected as OEM fog light light up the WORLD, perfect for avoiding open range livestock and deer.
I should note that oncoming traffic isn't too pleased when using BMC kit lights 😁
Hope this helps, let me know if you have any install questions via DM

This is great. Do you have a close up of those dirt guard lights how they are hooked up??

How is the install on the BMC housing/mounts? A lot of negative feedback on the CJC website regarding these.

I installed the BMC 2023-2026 Ford Super Duty Fog Light Kit on my 2026 Tremor
I was pretty disappointed with it. While it looks great I lost a bunch of bumper rigidity. I had to make additional brackets to support the corners of the bumper as sell as cut up the stock stuff to hold the rubber gasket deal in place nicely... I wasn't feeling the 3d printed double sided tape stuff that they send with it. It came out great after about 10 hours of work

Ugh that looks good, now I’m going to have to get the trail guard with lights. It looks like it hangs down less than the tremor valance but offers more protection.

You can always do the GateKeeper mounts with BD S1's which I did. These offer you the element of control:

From my perspective the most trouble free way of connecting lights on Dirt Guard is to set up the Upfitter switches wired @trmrzla, https://www.opentrailcreations.com/?srsltid=AfmBOopuoYcxBOQ1eqTXWoIaOHQ1k66J2RCdpNCLUA3UIlY9rrjIm9qP and @Cblaxx19 have solutions for connecting Upfitter Switches.
Once you have the Upfitter Switches wired then harness connection is quite simple. using the supplied harness for S2 ran wiring just behind the Dirt Guard zip tying harness where the front valance had been attached as it was removed to install Dirt Guard

As had the air box and passenger side battery removed to wire Upfitter Switches (to give me more access room wiring Upfitter Switches) it was an easy run up to connect to Upfitter Switch 1

I have the dual squadron pro fog lights from CJC Offroad. The outside fogs are the clear wide cornering and thy are hooked up to the factory fog light switch. The inside fogs are the Baja Amber in the driving pattern hooked up to the upfitter switches. I’m looking in to getting a light bar just not sure which one. I believe Apollo Offroad can do the xl linkable light bar with 7 of the XL 80’s or the factory aftermarket bar with 5 of the LP6’s. I think I like the look of the 5 LP6’s better but the XL linkable sat more flush to the truck.
