I didn’t even know. Back when I had the pheasant edition, it did not. I had to retrofit it. Kinda struck me as odd, but ya never know when they value engineer stuff out. Heated wheel is a must have for me, even though it’s garages.

Just don’t ever sell the 7.3. Resale value is terrible

I hear that a lot but have yet to see hard data that supports it. with all the interest in the 7.3 and more people & businesses walking away from diesels, Im not buying it.

In the ranching world, if you're going to display a brand, it ought to be yours because a brand signifies ownership of whatever is branded. It is frowned upon to display the brand of another ranch, and in some places the use of someone else's registered brand is actually regulated by law.

I don’t think he’s saying don’t wear a Carhartt sweatshirt or ride a Harley with the logo visible, and obviously no one thinks everyone driving a KR is trying to impersonate the Kings or claim their property as their own

Today I went to a dealer and drove a King Ranch and the Lariat Ultimate gassers. (2026 models)
The King Ranch Leather is pretty sweet and I have to admit, I liked the massage seats
Other than that, they were both as comfortable, to me. One felt as good as the other.
The dealer said they were pretty much MSRP but could go a little higher on the trade to offset the Granger offer.

However, based on market data and current inventory trends from 2020 to newer models, diesels significantly outnumber gas engines on the secondary market.

Why? Because people get rid of them! There's a reason why aftermarket companies still sell "Disaster Prevention Kits."

The lariat ultimate is a very nicely appointed truck.

Had everything you need. i really like the active x material so far.

Myself, i would be more concerned with things like which transmission and axles are underneath it.

I hear the 10r100 (torque shift G) shifts a lot faster and feels quicker than the 10r140 equipped 7.3 i test drove.

But likely isn't going to take the same amount of hard use.

IDK if you can even get a 7.3 w/ 10r140 anymore 25 might have been the last year.... i stopped keeping up Auth that stuff when i finally bought.

I really made the salesman earn it. Drove no less than 5 new ones, and made them bring in a used one too...


I went in looking at xlts, drove them all, and left with a platinum.

I believe this will be the last new truck i buy for a long, long, time. So i figured... all or nothing.

My last three trucks were all diesels: a 6.9L (kept for 10 years back when diesel was cheaper), a 7.3L PSD (11 years, lost to rust), and my current 2012 6.7L PSD Lariat, which is my favorite and still running strong after 14 years.
I’m only switching to gas because I retired a few years ago. My daily driver is an F-150 Lightning—which I love, but it can't handle the heavy towing. I still need to move a 40' RV locally once a year and a 16' gooseneck dump trailer about 4 or 5 times a year.
I’d keep my 2012 F-350, but I want to sell it before the rust starts and it loses value. I also want to move on from the Lightning before it gets outdated. My plan is to trade both for a newer, aluminum-body gas truck that won't rust, works well around town, and can still handle my local towing needs. Honestly, it just wouldn't be fair to a beautiful new 6.7L High Output diesel, to waste it on short, empty trips where the turbo barely has a need to wind up. It'd be like keeping a Lion in a cage and letting it out to hunt a couple times a year

I've watched this truck regen before the engine even warms up. It's a totally separate system on the HO. The old rules don't apply with the 9th injector.

I love this truck.
