2025 Dealer installed keypad

Where did you order these parts from, my dealer is marking them up significantly.

Try these two links.

I ordered from ford.oemparts.com but my invoice in my email says they came from “All American Ford in Old Bridge” which appears to be a dealer in New Jersey. Not sure why they shipped from here, maybe just selected a dealer based on alphabetical order and they were on top? I likely landed on this page just from googling the part numbers.

Is this keypad difficult to install?

Yeah, that was going to be my next question, if anyone has more of step by step video vs just the other video that was posted talking about it being an option.

Dealer convinced me that app basically renders the keypad obsolete, so I ordered without. Am I going to regret it?
Why would I want the app?

Ford pushes the app hard. That’s not about customer service. I assume it’s because Ford is mining customer data and selling it, just as GM does. (Texas is suing GM over similar shenanigans… collecting customer behaviors, then selling the data to insurance companies and others.)

I just ordered the parts to installed the wired keypad, at this point seems like the best option if I can figure out the Forscan piece

That's the easy part. There's a trick to easily getting the factory code if you have both keys. This is an Expedition but same concept. Different key location if you have the jump seat - back of the lower storage compartment there's a pocket.

This is great, still waiting on delivery of the truck but will have this bookmarked. Do you happen to have the rest of the steps that need to be completed in Forscan?

I need to buy the cable as well and will be my first attempt at using it.

It's super easy. The OBDLink EX is the cable I use. Make sure you have at least version 2.3.65 of Forscan for the 2025 trucks. When you first connect, you should get a prompt to update the database or something along those lines. If it still doesn't recognize your truck at that point, you may have to wait 24hrs and try again. I ended up having to wait. Once you're connected, go into the modules tab:

APIM plain text - enable "Keypad Hardware Input" - write changes
BCM plain text - enable "Door Keypad Code" - write changes

From here, you can go into the truck's settings on the main screen and configure your own code. You'll need the factory code mentioned above for this step.

Before you do anything in Forscan, I would highly recommend downloading your as-built data from Ford (you can get that later in the build process) as well as manually exporting the as-built data from each module in your truck. Took about 10 minutes to back everything up.

Hope that helps. Feel free to @ me or send a DM if you get stuck.

While I've never used mine on my '22... this new one I can't say if I like or dislike it...lol

While I do agree that installation looks real good, has anybody tried putting it inside the fuel door ?
I saw it online somewhere, I like that spot is there more info or post on how it can be done?

been thinking about adding the keypad to mine, seems its about the same cost for the wired or wireless. Anyone familiar with what it takes to connect the wireless one to the truck, is it something that the dealer has to do, or it can be done with forescan?

There is a YouTube video on the wired install on the KYD (Keep Your Daydream) channel. I believe someone posted it earlier. I would go with the wired over wireless any day if I have the harness still available in the pillar.

Why Ford couldn't do this at the factory is beyond me.
They cut costs and have cheaped out. Another example is where did the fender flares go?

If you have your phone on you if not its useless.
Yeah, I bought the parts to install the wired version and to cable to connect Forscan - truck just went in to production this week so can't comment on the difficulty level of getting it all installed and working, but based on the above, doesn't seem like it should be to tough.

These links are from the other posts in this thread, still cheaper then the $225 they want for the wireless keypad option from the dealer, and I expect there will be some other benefits to having the Forscan cable as well. Not to mention the cleaner, stock look of the wired keypad.

Mine just shipped from the factory, and is expected to hit dealership within 10 days. I'll provide an update as to whether the connector is still there for the wired keypad. I'm already sitting on the keypad and trim panel with cutout.

Does anyone know were I can find th ekeypad trim bezel only for my 2022 F250 Tremor? I can find carbon Fiber looking but not just blask. That little medal cli popped of mine an the keypad is hanging out at the top. apparently a common issue. Most people seem to be buying and entire keypad assembly and separating the trim piece and installing on existing key pad, but seems like there should be a trim part number. This also keeps me from having to take all the door panel off to replace the wiring. I only need to keypad trim. Thanks
