The factory code is hard-coded in the module and is the same code used by the wireless keypad. Ford stopped printing it on the module at some point fairly recently. They may not be bullshitting you, but they are surely incompetentWhat ever it is, they could not figure it out. The sticker in the passenger foot well is blank where it says door code, the 2 key method doesn’t bring anything up either. I know they aren’t Bullshitting me because they screwed around for 4 hours on it while I was there. They didn’t charge me labor luckily because they couldn’t make it work. I only paid for my parts.
I bet you could find a forum member nearby that would be willing to help you get it working. I posted my method in this thread somewhere and there are actual tutorials out there if you want to just do it yourself. It's not hard at all.
I wasn't trying to give you a hard time BTW, just get frustrated when dealerships are the source of so much bad information that inevitably makes its way to the forums. It's happened to me, too. My local dealer's "Super Duty expert" told me the keypad option on the 25s was wired and all they had to do was drill a hole in the door. They also told me the SD Tremor front LSD was a torsen (it's not). List goes on and on. I don't believe a word they say anymore. I'm also not surprised yours couldn't figure out how to enable the keypad or get the factory code to display.
