2025 Dealer installed keypad

what site did you order from

Try these two links.

I ordered from ford.oemparts.com but my invoice in my email says they came from “All American Ford in Old Bridge” which appears to be a dealer in New Jersey. Not sure why they shipped from here, maybe just selected a dealer based on alphabetical order and they were on top? I likely landed on this page just from googling the part numbers.

Looks like pricing went up a little since I ordered. See my quote above though.

It's super easy. The OBDLink EX is the cable I use. Make sure you have at least version 2.3.65 of Forscan for the 2025 trucks. When you first connect, you should get a prompt to update the database or something along those lines. If it still doesn't recognize your truck at that point, you may have to wait 24hrs and try again. I ended up having to wait. Once you're connected, go into the modules tab:

APIM plain text - enable "Keypad Hardware Input" - write changes
BCM plain text - enable "Door Keypad Code" - write changes

From here, you can go into the truck's settings on the main screen and configure your own code. You'll need the factory code mentioned above for this step.

Before you do anything in Forscan, I would highly recommend downloading your as-built data from Ford (you can get that later in the build process) as well as manually exporting the as-built data from each module in your truck. Took about 10 minutes to back everything up.

Hope that helps. Feel free to @ me or send a DM if you get stuck.
Followed your Forscan steps but still don’t see the keypad in screen settings in the truck.

Rant: my truck came with the stick on keypad from the factory. The dealer I purchased the truck from forgot to include/install it. No big deal—they FedEx’d it to me. Come to find out, I need Ford software to program the damn thing. Not buying a computer just for that. Took it to my local dealership and after waiting 4 hours and paying $225, it’s programmed. Thankfully the selling dealership is going to cover the install cost. But this is ridiculous. All Ford had to do was LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE! END RANT

I have put in the pad and reprogramed the truck. I don't see keypad on screen. Any advice?

It definitely looks better there for sure.

I spent $95 to buy the wired keypad and B pillar, but otherwise I would have done what you did too.
So you can install the factory keypad in the 2025s? Was the wire harness still in the door?

Looks great... Much better than on the paint in my opinion.

I went through this battle with my new F150 order arriving sometime in Sept or Oct. I ended up learning even in the 2025s their is a plug in every driver door (at least in lariat and up trucks, but I do think its most trims...). I ordered a pre 2024 b pillar piece as it I was repairing the door on a 2024 truck and will just slap it on a 2025. Ridiculous ford makes you jump through hoops for something many of us use daily.

Not sure if this trick would work on the HD trucks but I would assume so.

I also did the wired keypad. Forscan worked like a charm. On my truck… 2025 Superduty it took a couple drive cycles/key cycles before the feature showed up on the infotainment screen. No security code on the BCM, so I had to use the 2 key method for finding the code.

Just picked up a 2025 F250 Tremor - what is the likelihood that the wiring harness is inside my drive-side door for me to install a wired keypad? Did all 2025's ship out with the harness or only early productions for 2025?

I just don't want to buy the parts and find out later that it's not there...

I'm sure it's a DIY job, but any time a project involves removing the plastic panels, I hesitate to do it myself - I have broken enough tabs and cursed at those clips enough to know it's worth hiring it out in my opinion.

My dealership said they would install it if I drop the truck off with the parts already. But for them to order the parts, they would need to enter my vin and it says "not compatible" which is absurd. They wanted to install the wireless one, which I really do not prefer...

Is this ONLY able to be done with ForScan? I bought the parts through my dealer, they installed them and can not get it to work

My truck just has a blank space where the factory door code would be on the sticker
I had to enable the keycode in FORSCAN and then use the two keys method to retrieve my factory code from the dash.
My appt with dealership to install the keypad is tomorrow morning. I told them I already enabled it in FORSCAN and that I have my factory code already - they said that’ll probably save me $150 since they won’t have to ‘program it’ now… so the OBD link and software really paid for itself already… twice…

My dealer couldn’t program it. They said it wasn’t even an option in my module. I wonder if ForScan is the only to add it in

That is odd... I would imagine the dealership has access to more options than FORSCAN??

My dealership first said "Your truck is incompatible" when I asked about the wired module. They just plugged in my VIN and it showed the wireless sticky keypad...

I had to show them the part numbers of the wired unit, and even referenced a few posts/videos talking about the install. They agreed that the 2024 and 2026 were identical to the 2025, so as long as the harness is in the door, it should be doable.

My appointment is tomorrow, so I will report back if anything doesn't go as planned... But from the programming standpoint, It's very easy to enable the keypad module in FORSCAN -
Open BdyCM Module configuration and set it to Hardware Input
Then open APIM Module configuration and set Door Keypad Code to Enabled

After that, I did the two key method for getting my factory code:
place one key in the key slot (under the left side cut holder - remove the rubber base to expose the key indent)
Turn on the truck (Accessory - engine not needed)
count to 4 seconds, turn off the truck
immediately swap your set of keys and turn the truck back on (accessory only again)
count to 4 seconds, turn the truck off and then back on again.
Wait a few seconds, and you should see the Factory keypad code pop up on the driver's instrument dash (5 digit code).

Obviously proceed at your own risk.
This is just what worked for me since my passenger side panel sticker was also blank for factory keypad code.

We tried the 2 key method with no luck. From my understanding they can’t program the module because the wired key pad program isn’t even in the module. It sounds like ForScan FORCES the program into the module which then generates a “factory code”. I think ford has the VIN locked down and only want 25 owners to be able to have the stick on one. ForScan bypasses what dealers are allowed to officially do. So currently I have a wired Keypad on the door with no functionality.

That's not at all how that works. The script readers at the dealership in charge of making programming changes will generally only do what the system tells them they can do based on your VIN. I'm assuming that's who told you this nonsense.

Whether it's via FDRS or Forscan, all you're doing is enabling the keypad. The factory code is already there.

What ever it is, they could not figure it out. The sticker in the passenger foot well is blank where it says door code, the 2 key method doesn’t bring anything up either. I know they aren’t Bullshitting me because they screwed around for 4 hours on it while I was there. They didn’t charge me labor luckily because they couldn’t make it work. I only paid for my parts. They even gave me a car to drive about 60 miles round trip to run home and get my 2nd key.
Maybe I’m doing a poor job explaining what they said, but at the end of the day they just couldn’t make it work.
