Hi yall, I took delivery of my 23' F250 HO Diesel - Tremor 5/27 so here is a 48 hour review of likes and dislikes compared to my 22' F250 Diesel - Tremor. Take this as you will, this is just my opinion.
Likes
I like the maneuverability this truck has compared to the 22. It feels more compact than the 22 for some reason with less surface metal (whether it is or not, I don't know.)
The ever controversial bed step. I absolutely love them, I think this adds to the maneuverability of the truck I put above.
HO diesel engine - it is an absolute beast and can definitely feel a difference between the regular 6.7 and the HO.
I find the seats to be far more comfortable than the 22 (I don't have the max recline.)
Dislikes
In my 22 I felt like I could drive through a brick wall and keep going. The 23' just feels to be less robust.
The halogen taillights and reflective headlights. Paying this much for a truck I don't find it acceptable to take away the full LED taillights and the projecting headlights the 22' had.
The price, this may seem hypocritical as I still took delivery of the 23' but I think it is overpriced for what this truck offers. IF your dealer tries to markup before purchase, I wouldn't think twice but to walk away. Thankfully I am with a good dealer and actually got it at a little bit of a discount. There is still room for negotiations, as I was able to.
The backup camera - it looks far more grainy than my 22' backup camera. In my 22' it was crystal clear.
The overall layout of the dash doesn't seem to be as well put together as the 22'. I loved that the big screen was higher up compared to being more down and centered in the 23' but it is probably just takes getting used to.
No fender flares compared to the 22'. This truck needs them and I feel bad for those that opted to get the power step unless you get flares ASAP. I will get them as soon as I can.
Indifferences
Full digital instrument cluster. It is what it is. I am still learning the functionality of it.
The accent trim is like this denim looking leather thing which is odd compared to previous models. I don't like or dislike it.
Heads Up Display - I could go without it, doesn't really add to the convenience in my opinion. It is worthless if you wear polarized sunglasses. Just a feature to me.
Overall
I like the 23' but don't love it yet. It has stuff my 22' didn't have which is obvious. I didn't have the full 360 camera system or adaptive cruise control but had everything else offered in the 22'.
If you have a loaded Lariat Ultimate 22', King Ranch, or Platinum. I wouldn't think twice but to keep the 22' there were just little things that pushed me to the 23' that I didn't have in the 22' and the deal made sense. If I had a loaded previous year, I would have kept it.
Feel free to ask questions or wanting pictures/videos of stuff regarding the truck and I would be more than happy to help.
