2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...

My sales guy has been on vacation all week and wont be back in until Monday... Maybe hand me off to your sales manager then to complete the process... but I guess in their eyes you've waited 6+ months, whats another few days...

Priority code can make a difference at the dealership level. If the dealer has allocation, the priority code and order date tells the system which order to pull first. This assumes that there are no commodity constraints that are preventing the order from being picked-up. Commodities can be constrained one week and not the next, so the system will pull orders that are not constrained by lowest priority code and then oldest order date. This is why newer orders and higher priority codes may get scheduled ahead of older orders / lower priority codes.

For example, I have ordered a Platinum on 10/29, and my dealer have me a priority code of 10... haven't gotten scheduled while many XL/XLT/Lariats with higher priority codes and ordered after me have.

The catch is that the deal is able to manually adjust which orders get picked-up, so they could in theory choose to have a new order or higher priority code get scheduled that week. This depends on how actively the dealer is managing their UnScheduled Order Bank (USOB). Priority code + date scheduling is a way for the dealer to not have to manage each week what gets scheduled.
Thanks for the info! So in reality, if my dealership doesn't get a KR allocation, I might not get a MY23 OR a MY24 even though I ordered 10/29 priority 10... THAT sucks!

Have you gotten any information from Ford other than your order confirmation? Hate to say it but if you don't have a build date for a KR you're probably not getting a MY 23. Salesman informed me a couple of days ago my MY 23 Platinum will not be built however I am first in line when the MY 24 order banks open later this month.
Check with your salesman.

If i understand it correctly, the allocation system doesn't work down to the trim level. Dealers get an allocation based on model, although I think Super Duties are all lumped together and the F-150s may be allocated separately. So if your dealer has any Super Duty allocation, it will come down to constraints that week, your priority code, and order date.

We should all know next week or the following if we're going to get scheduled as Ford will be balancing out the rest of the run for MY23. I think they'll schedule the final 13 weeks all at once.

So I had a schedule week of 6/19 and build day of 6/23 but the vehicle has yet to be built. I have vin and window sticker. Does this mean it will for certain be built? I need to know if I need to order a 24 and make adjustments as I don't have a vehicle anymore and need to make a purchase for tax purposes. It appears to me it will be built, as to when I have no idea.

If you have a VIN and a sticker its going to get built...

What does the tracker show? What does the dealer VVR show?

Mine took a month from "in production" to "built"...

From what I understand, generally once a VIN is issued then you order will be built. Probably best to confirm with your dealer just in case there are circumstances where that might now be true.

Spoke to dealer today. Said they reached out to ford rep, waiting for response/update. Dealer said it could be waiting on chips?

On the tracker in production is green but no checkmark.

Obviously I want/need the vehicle but really I just need to know one way or the other if it will be built as I need to make adjustments to expenditures for tax purposes.

I assumed it would be built. Was wondering if anyone experienced the same scenario. Thanks

Is your tax year calendar or fiscal.

If your truck shows in production you should have it before the end of the year.

The reason I asked is I've had a C Corp where the tax year was fiscal and set in June. It worked out well to split up the tax season to one 1/2 of the year and insurance renewal the other 1/2. Now we only have LLC's so calendar only.l

Oh yeah if it was fiscal I would do something different for sure. Thanks LLC works beat for me at this time

If you have a vin it will get built. If you have a window sticker, it is either being built or is built, as best we have been able to tell here from intel over the past couple of years. The tracker is only semi accurate and occasionally updated, and is not always a reliable indicator or build status.

When will Ford start to build MY24?
When will costumers start receiving them?
MY24 order banks open July 17th. As far as production and delivery that's anybodies guess. Hopefully we should get an update from Tim Bartz at Long McArthur Ford today or tomorrow. Order guides should come out Today sometime.

Order the day banks opened and just now got my order confirmed email from ford. Still not scheduled/no vin.

1st post warning- lurked here a decent amount and thought I’d add my experience to the thread.
Just took delivery of my 2023 6.7HO Platinum “tremor”.
Ford shipped it with the FX4 package not the tremor package.
Full disclosure this is a fleet vehicle (Until it times out and I get the option to purchase) so I didn’t have all off the updates along the way that a direct purchaser would.
I was an original MY22 order so after the wait very little was going to keep me from accepting it.
I still got the retractable running boards and HO engine. 3.31 rear instead of 3.55 or whatever. Fugly 20 wheels.
After the initial frustration subsided-I’m okay with it. Not ideal, but I was leaning towards a carli setup and 37s anyway so this just pushed that to the forefront.
Ordered mid December 2022.
Originally schedule to be built 3/31/23
“built and invoiced” (Fleet company update) 5/10 and 5/11
Also reschedule to 6/12 same update
Shipped sometime 6/24 or later via convoy
Arrived last Thursday.

I actually got the tag back in May after they invoiced it and used the vin to try and track after that but I lacked the build number. Using the vin and the Ford chat feature got me all the shipping details and tracking info. Good info I learned on this forum.
Not sure I can post on a Tremor forum any longer, lol.
Thought I’d add my experience to help paint the overall situation we all find ourselves in.
YMMV

cheers;
