2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...

1st post warning- lurked here a decent amount and thought I’d add my experience to the thread.
Just took delivery of my 2023 6.7HO Platinum “tremor”.
Ford shipped it with the FX4 package not the tremor package.
Full disclosure this is a fleet vehicle (Until it times out and I get the option to purchase) so I didn’t have all off the updates along the way that a direct purchaser would.
I was an original MY22 order so after the wait very little was going to keep me from accepting it.
I still got the retractable running boards and HO engine. 3.31 rear instead of 3.55 or whatever. Fugly 20 wheels.
After the initial frustration subsided-I’m okay with it. Not ideal, but I was leaning towards a carli setup and 37s anyway so this just pushed that to the forefront.
Ordered mid December 2022.
Originally schedule to be built 3/31/23
“built and invoiced” (Fleet company update) 5/10 and 5/11
Also reschedule to 6/12 same update
Shipped sometime 6/24 or later via convoy
Arrived last Thursday.

I actually got the tag back in May after they invoiced it and used the vin to try and track after that but I lacked the build number. Using the vin and the Ford chat feature got me all the shipping details and tracking info. Good info I learned on this forum.
Not sure I can post on a Tremor forum any longer, lol.
Thought I’d add my experience to help paint the overall situation we all find ourselves in.

Order the day banks opened and just now got my order confirmed email from ford. Still not scheduled/no vin.

Same thing here , I received my confirmation 2 weeks ago and mine also was ordered the first day.

Yeah, if I had to guess I would say the dealer probably messed up the order when transitioning from 22MY to 23MY.

That’s where the confusion comes in because I don’t have full access to everything.
I do have a copy of the build sheet that wheels submitted and it’s stated clearly that it’s a tremor package vehicle.
What happened between there and the truck arriving built without it (Also not on the window sticker) is all just a guess.

Ordered through a fleet company, placed at dealer A, commissioned through dealer B… who knows.
Could be entry error, could be on purpose somewhere along the line, could be Ford doing Ford things - last year a few shipped the wrong color, or without two tone paint, etc..

I wish I knew more but this is what I have to go on.

Possibly, but I did have to completely rebuild and resubmit as some options where changed (tremor pkg not one of them). It didn’t just roll over into a new 23 order.

It's likely someone at the dealer changed the order. Assuming positive intent, they did it to help it get scheduled. Or, they did it knowing you wouldn't want it and would be able to sell it to someone else for more money. Either way, I'd be talking to the GM / owner of the dealership to find out who made the change.

If for some reason Ford misbuilt the order, the dealer can file a claim and the factory will send the necessary parts to correct the build.

I agree with what you’ve suggested.
Had this been a personal purchase from the jump, I would definitely be pursuing the options you’ve outlined.
As it is, with the larger professional factors/ramifications at play, I will probably pass on pursuing it much further. A carli ( or other) level and some better wheels with larger tires will fix most of what was lost and won’t make a big deal out of it.
Mildly disappointing and slightly more expensive to me personally but, all around I think I’ll be happy and am making the right call long term.
It goes tomorrow to have the fx4 decals removed (Was going to remove the tremor ones as well, personal preference thing) and a few other things like tinting, etc..
Maybe next week for the rest if I can make up my mind on which ones.
Time to start scouring the galleries on here for wheel/tire combos.

After 8 1/2 months of supply chain emails there is an update. Dealer notified me that Ford scheduling previewed my order today, so "maybe" I'll get a build date notification this week. He mentioned what he read from scheduling was that the Tremor package was the major hold up.

Long stated this week they are scheduling for 4 weeks (end of July through most of August); next week they are supposed to schedule out through the end of September.

All the bells and whistles (except the multi contour seats which were removed as expected after reading here).

They told me mid May they had the VIN, so I asked for the order number to track it (from the tracker I found here). "Scheduled week of" on the tracker just appeared July 7.

Damn! That's pretty good to get a Platinum Vin that early. Jealous. There's quite a few of us that are still waiting for their Platinum Tremor VIN... Myself included. I even ordered before you! Crazy how Ford does their scheduling
