Hi all. Ordered a 2023 F250 Lariat on 11/11/2022. Got my confirmation email on 11/12/2022. Received the dreaded “supply chain issues but we’re working on it” email on 12/28/2022.

Question for the group: I ordered the Lariat Ultimate and Sport Appearance packages. Lariat Ultimate comes with power running boards. Sport Appearance comes with platform runnning boards. Dealer thinks my truck will come with the platform boards but acted kind of uncertain. I called and asked Ford but they referred me to the dealer. Anyone know the definitive answer to this question?

I thought only the platinum came with the power running boards. You would need to physically add them during your build. Otherwise the standard tremor ones come with.

You need to make sure your dora sheet has it this way to get power running boards, any other way will default to other boards. If they are NOT explicitly listed on your sheet, you do not have them on your order.

In this next example, they are not added to order.

Confusing because the online build and price tool specifically says Lariat Ultimate comes with the power boards. Not sure why it downgrades to the platform boards when you add the Sport Appearance package. The price was certainly not reduced as a result.

Your dealer needs to go in and manually change it to show under ultimate. They might now know and need to be instructed.

When I ordered my 2022 Lariat F-350 Tremor - when they picked Tremor - it deleted the power running boards - and put in Tremor fixed running boards - someone else had a truck delivered that way (did not get power boards they wanted) another member posted there was box for the dealer to check to "override" Tremor offroad boards for power boards - I called the dealer - they looked - called me back and said they had not checked the box, but updated the order and checked the box for power boards and that is how my truck arrived - had I not had them update that - it would have come with fixed boards. So dealer had to do something to confirm the power board and override the Tremor offroad boards.

They called it "check the box" but I have no idea where in the system they had to go - but seems there was a way for them to do that and confirm for me I would get power boards. If your dealer doesn't know - ask them to find out - if your truck can still be changed and they are not in there - they can update your order to add them.

I ordered a lariat ultimate with tremor…with the tremor you can add in the power running boards the ultimate comes with. You will get a 500 dollar discount to offset the tremor boards.

Can you get a tremor with 8 foot bed in MY23? I never understood why it wasn't an option, all you're doing is leveling the front and putting bigger tires on. Bed length shouldn't matter

There should be no dealer markup and you are price protected from the time of order. If you didn’t agree upon the price, then assume MSRP. The window sticker MSRP wouldn’t be accurate as it’s printed during manufacturing at the current rate. Go there and re-I force you know the rules and you price protected. Call ford if they give you pushback. Don’t pay a markup

I was just looking over the contract and they changed me $3995.00 not $4500.00, but still I thought that was ridiculous. The Window sticker shows MSRP $78630.00 and the contract doesn't say anything about a mark-up. It just shows Itemization Of Amount Financed "Cash Sale Price (including any accessories)" $82625.00. I signed the contract just before thanksgiving 2021, so it's probably too late to do anything now.

pretty sure you cant get the power running boards with sport unless you order tremor, same applies to the black appearance package. if you do not order tremor you cannot get power boards. its called out pretty clearly in the order guide.

Did some more investigating this morning and sadly I think you’re right. Found this in the order guide (thanks for the tip):

Power-Deployable Running Boards (Not available with Lariat Interior Trims 6J or 6B, SuperCab, or Sport Appearance Package (17K) (unless 17K is ordered with Tremor Off-Road Pkg (17Y))

Not sure why Ford does this. Lariat Ultimate costs $5,075 with or without the power running boards.

I have a call in to the dealer to confirm but it’s not looking promising that I’ll get what I wanted.
