2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...

HEY FORD LISTEN UP…my 2024 GMC 2500HD AT4 is in transit and you clowns haven’t even scheduled the build date on my 23 tremor order that I placed on Oct. 28 2022.
My local GMC dealer has gotten very aggressive on trying to move me to a 2500 AT4. They have a couple on the lot. Nice looking trucks for sure. Given my order is close to delivery, I’m staying with Ford for now.

I don't see anything at all on the FordPass app. Mine shows in transit but i see nothing on the app.
Unfortunately, I can't be much more help on this. Hopefully one of the members who received a truck this year or last can shed more insight on when they were able to add their truck to Ford Pass.

That's unsat! No way GM should be able to produce a 2024 while Ford can't build an order placed all the way back in October! I can't blame you at all for jumping ship. GMC or Chevy was my second choice. I'm happy my Ford got built or I would be right there with you.

I was able to add my truck to Ford Pass after I took delivery of it. I tried prior too but it wouldn't allow me.

I was able to add my VIN once it was built but that was all. You are unable to do anything else until you take delivery of the truck.

Ford Pass needs to be accepted in vehicle for it to work. The benefit of trying to activate it early is it prompts the driver to accept or deny the request when the vehicle is started. They'll deny the request. Denying the request sends a message back to the requestor that the request was denied. At that time just request activation again.

You will not learn where the truck physically is by doing this. What you will learn is every time it is started. An example of this is when they move it to put it on the train, when it gets taken off the train, when its started to be put on the truck, when its started to be taken off the truck, etc. Couple this with rail tracking and it fills in the timeline holes for you.

On mine, the denial requests were pretty close to other events I was able to track.

It looks like this.

I wish you all the best with your new truck, but I have to wonder how many options are disabled or completely unavailable. My cousin has a '22 Silverado 1500 and still doesn't have all the chips needed to work everything. Yes, they sold the truck that way. One specific thing I remember is that his cross-traffic alert works, but the simple sensors in the bumpers do not. Meaning as long as your moving when he backs up, he probably won't hit you, but if you're standing still, you're at risk.

Yeah same here. I should have clarified a little more. Your big day is coming soon!

Nice! That is how vehicle ordering should be. I've thought about GM but the Ford 7.3L checks one of my wants. The GM 6.6L just doesn't do it for me or the Ford 6.8L. If GM offered a modern 454 gas, I'd be all over it knowing I would already be driving the GM. Still nothing on my 10/28/22 Lariat.

Quick question...Does anyone think removing the multi-contour seats from my unscheduled Platinum order will increase the chances of getting scheduled?

Nope. Granger said removing them won't increase your odds at all, so I left them on my build.

Dealer view versus Ford Ordering Tracking Website question.

According to the online tracker, my delivery is currently showing 6/5-6/20. It moves out a couple of times per week.

According to the dealer, the truck is showing a delivery of today or tomorrow, 6/13-14. Should I believe it?

Question: what can dealers actually see? I’ve heard that they have no idea what is coming in or when. I’ve also heard they know exactly what and when. Anyone know for sure?

Thanks!
I don't know what they can see. When I update my salesman as to what I see, he says he sees the same. Could dealer dig a little deeper? I suspect so but who knows. My tracker said built 10th and waiting for shipping. Could be a couple of days to a week. Today it said shipped 11th. No idea what's up but honestly think I could see it soon

I suggest going to this link where you can register and input your vin. This will give you insight on how your truck is progressing through production. At some point, you can also pull the window sticker as well as register your truck in the Ford Pass app. Once it is built, the Ford Pass app will show you the location of your truck, typically updated every time the vehicle is started.

You should get an email from Ford with a build date, and once you reach that date (assuming it hasn't gotten pushed back like others have experienced), production typically takes a week, maybe a few days longer if they have to send it off site for things like the spray-in bedliner, wheel well liners, etc...

I tried doing what you said in this email awhile back and it did not work for me.

how did you track that? mine should be in Miami now as well. We might get them at the same time.
My dealer sends me screen shots of their system everyday. What dealer did you buy yours from?
