Holy crap finally! Even more temptation (on top of getting full screen CarPlay) to get the Mongoose cable and avoid a trip to the dealer.
Nice, requested this since my truck is at the dealer for a couple weeks already.
called my local dealer where I bought my SD and they scheduled me for the next available install. They said it will take all day for the software upgrade along with some other transmission programming recall. I didn't even know about this until I read this thread!
There’s not a remedy available yet for the transmission recall.
Funny, same date I have to drop off mine as well. Seems like our trucks have been tracking each since build. Lol
They wouldn't do it for me today because my appointment got moved from service to quicklane because someone who was trying to be smart didn't see the software update on the work order. Upshot is for the mixup they didn't charge me for the synthetic works package with tire rotation. So, I'll have to get back in for just that at some point.
I can confirm the update on the module solved the seat function turning on with remote start. In my case it was cooling of course.

I just dropped off my 22 at the dealership to have the clunking rear shocks replaced under warranty and asked them to do the full screen update. They were not able to do it stating a bad gateway module that needs to be replaced as per a service bulletin. I may have missed something but this is the first I am hearing this as a reason the update is failing. Has anyone else heard this or had the GWM replaced?
I feel like I’ve heard of one or two people getting the GWM replaced, though I’ve heard about the APIM replacement much more.
Did you happen to get the TSB they were referencing?

I also have this problem. it is somewhat annoying to see a smaller size of the truck image stuck top right (block the view)... I thought it might just be a feature, but search all over the place and there is no where to get rid of that smaller size truck image

that is the OLD gateway, still used on the sync 3 2022 trucks. for the 2022 with Sync 4 theres a gateway module behind the APIM now. much larger than what hes holding in his hand.

According to the Info button, the small icon is to show which perimeter sensor is sensing an obstacle. The Super Duty only has rear sensors, and they show up on the 360 birdseye view as colored bars. What we need is someone with a MY23 to comment if they have the same bug, in which case we have a small chance Ford will actually fix it.
I still haven't been able to get this update in my '22 Platinum. Brought it into the dealership even and they said no updates are available with FDRS. My truck hasn't has a single update apply since I picked it up 20 months ago. Is anyone else in this same boat?

as stated many times before, there is a GWM update, until they do that update, the APIM update will not show up.

Just wanted to share this screen shot. I was messing around trying to get some info about wiring diagrams. Found the MOTORCRAFTSERVICE.COM site. Ended up getting a FordTechService account for like $22 for 72 hours. Wow...not bad info one might need to their vehicle to help troubleshoot or...

If you want to get this done yourself you can rent my mongoose cable and I can walk you through the process. Many of us were in the same boat with no updates. I am sure you have about 10 updates total that need to be done, probably about 8 hours worth. Some dealers will do it, mine would not, so I did it myself.
