I lost track. Once you have the current over the air update can you forscan in the climate bar or does that require the full update? Wasn’t clear if the full just did CarPlay full screen or also affected that climate bar. I want an easier button for heated steering…
Now I'm stuck wondering if it actually updated or not. Thought I should have seen a confirmation? This whole update thing has been pretty frustrating.
I had the same thing happen with the TCM update not the GWM. My Gateway Module updated as it should and threw up the success prompt on the screen. The TCM Update i had an experience similar to pkrexer where I wasn't sure if it actually updated. I turned the truck off, waited till the bus activity stopped and then turned it back on. It re-indexed the USB drive and shortly after notified me that the update had already been installed. I then connected the FDRS program and did a PMI to the TCM as per Jesse's instructions and the software stated i had no more updates. I did have to turn connectivity off on the radio for 10 mins or so and then back on to get that to function properly. It was telling me in the FordPass app that my connectivity wasn't on when clearly on the radio it was. After cycling that setting it finally started working properly. If I remember correctly the FDRS prompt for the USB updates says wait for 5 minutes until a message is shown that indicates the update completed and you can remove the USB drive. Then it goes ahead and says to click "Continue" in FDRS after 5 minutes even if you didn't get the success message. I never got one for the only USB update I've done.
I did re-insert the USB drive and got a message stating that this update was already applied, which does indicate that it succeeded.![]()
UPDATE: When I got to work I did a master reset via the SYNC settings. This unmarried the vehicle from my FordPass. When trying to reactivate my vehicle it was doing the same thing as above where it only had a select number of options under connectivity and was stuck at the pending screen on the App. So I turned off the connectivity setting, turned off the truck and went into the office.Since my updates I noticed some issues with my system.
First, I have only seen the Alexa icon on the top bar of the screen once and this was immediately following the APIM update but has since disappeared with the TCU update. All the videos you see about this feature being added to the vehicle shows a button on the SYNC screen for Alexa in the settings. I do not have this either.
Second is I had an issue with my FordPass app not being able to locate my vehicle. It told me to turn connectivity on, which already was. I did fix this the other day by turning off connectivity for a few mins then turning back on. I then noticed i had more options under connectivity then I had previously.
I have not yet enabled any of the UnReal options yet but i plan to do it soon. Do any of you think a module reset via ForScan would help with these issues?

2 hours later I went out and started the truck and it immediately prompted me to activate the vehicle for FordPass Connect, which I did. After that I then had the Alexa circle at the top of the screen and the app button in the settings. I was able to set it up and now the circle is gone from the top bar but the wake word still works. This is enough for me...
I went in and verified all connectivity settings are on (i now have about 9 options vs the 4 i had before) and all seemed to be working properly.
I did a PMI (Programmable Module Installation) after the update at the request or Jesse. It all seems OK now but it cant hurt while I have it connected later.I would try doing a write all to the TCM configuration and then reset the module, within forscan.
Maybe something didn't get applied or reset during the update. I know when I updated mine through FDRS, it went through a reset procedure after I confirmed that the update was applied.
has nothing to do with the update, ford just added it to fordpass for everyone. I have not updated and this showed up for me yesterday.I notice the DEF level now shows up in my fordpass app after installing all the updates for the GWM, APIM and TCM..
I recall people reporting having this feature early on, but mine was missing. Cool to see that one of the updates, fixed it.

You might need to update the app. I did not install the updates on my truck from this thread and it's on mine now. It's not showing on my FP app...
