You're not poor. You have a nice truck, sick camper, healthy family and a great bourbon collection.
That’s super helpful thank you!
No rush but if you happen to have a pic of it installed I’d love to see it! Again thank you!!!
No worries, I ordered it from Tasca parts.Nice!!!! You’re right that is much better thank you!
Probably pushing my luck but don’t suppose you have a link on where you ordered from? I’m seeing quite a few out of stock. Wouldn’t mind ordering from the same place.
I have a red stripe, it helps me park straight at my "lunch" spot. Why would you want that shit? For paddles and a red strip that comes off in two years?
LOL this reminds me of our Christmas Eve dinner at my brothers house. Instead of medium rare prime rib and mashed potatoes he whipped up Pheasant! I kid you not! Ugghhhhh.View attachment 140381
How about now???
Wow you Texas boys live on the edge!!!!
I have a red stripe, it helps me park straight at my "lunch" spot.
Don’t try and take my status as lord of the Pheasants.
My my my stapler.
I recall an entire thread on the steering wheel swap from about a year or so ago.Alright you bunch of Pheasant hating asshats…. How about a little help?????
So I talked to Badge King today and for $85 they are making me new fender badges to REMOVE my poor man’s XLT badges from my front fenders and replaces them with a dark version that says “TRAMPER”…. So that part of my Pheasant truck is fixed!!!!!!!!
Now, help me out with a steering wheel! I actually don’t like my poor man’s steering wheel, i can’t remember the last time I had a wheel that wasn’t leather and my other cars all have leather wheels. This, being a pheasant steering wheel obviously feels cheap, it’s also the size of the steering wheel from the short bus I rode as a kid!

Ideally I’d like a Raptor wheel, with the same buttons but I’m not sure anyone with a Raptor is this poor. If not a Raptor a “little Prince” (Lariat) wheel would also be great.
Anyone know where or how to find the right Ford part number for either of these wheels???
FWIW there is a company that makes a plug and play wiring harness for the 23’s now that lets the Raptor paddle shifters work…. So that would be my ideal as I do Offroad and downshift (down long hills) quite often.
Thank you in advance for all the help and ridicule.

Good job steering them in the right direction.I recall an entire thread on the steering wheel swap from about a year or so ago.
Man, back in the 80s/90s this was always the first mod I did! Haha! Had to make sure all string/plastic whatever was lined up all perfect and such. So gangsta!Just get one of those leather steering wheel wraps with the string. My great grandmother loved those things![]()

Exactly!!!! That hard nylon cord that you had to tie and carefully place the knot so it didn’t scratch your hand.Man, back in the 80s/90s this was always the first mod I did! Haha! Had to make sure all string/plastic whatever was lined up all perfect and such. So gangsta!
To all the guys discussing putting a Raptor steering wheel inyour base model XLTanything other than a Raptor, just realize this is what you look like to normal people…

To be fair, I think it looks just as dumb when people put them on Lariats and above (hence adding thePlease allow me to reiterate the point of this thread….
