Great pictures! I like it, but how heavy is the kit ( $2/lb?) Any nose-dive or leveling and alignment issues? I'm thinking I'll need to drop the rear for leveling, align the steering and add air bags for towing my trailer. I used the SDHQ hidden mount on my 2014 Raptor and have not needed the winch yet (knock on wood). The mid-perch and alignment fixed the hard brake nose-dive on it.

I just brought one home tonight. Not planning on the install right away because I have a backlog of stuff to install. Still in the box the box weighs 113lbs. I’ll take this over a supermodel hood ornament.

Thanks, not as much as I feared seeing the picture on a freight pallet; much cheaper than supermodels!

Has anyone actually tried this with the winch yet? I order mine with the winch (hasn't come in yet) but not sure if Ford will include this bracket or not.

My dealer included that exact part number for the license bracket for my winch. It is listed on my buyers order build sheet.

If you add the winch to your order is the only option that your dealer service department install it or could it come off the assembly line with it already installed?

If the dealer service dept is the only option I would prefer to install it myself.

The dealer installs it from my experience and only if registered in a state that requires a front plate. You should be able to ask them not to install it. If they say they have to, tell them it's getting registered in a state that doesn't require it.

Edit: If it's just the standard plate bracket for the superdutys and they install your winch, they will not be able to install it anyway. If I'm correct, the standard bracket snaps in to the place the winch takes up, others may have more info on this as I don't have my truck yet.

I’d love to see some photos of the Ford front plate that flips downward. Vermont requires a front plate, and I was considering asking the dealer to order the truck without the holes drilled in the bumper...but I can’t seem to find an obvious plate relocation point.

My dealer in MN added the new Ford plate bracket w/winch to my submitted Build summary (Retail Priority13). I will be taking pics as soon as it comes in. It looks like bracket is mounted below the winch. This new plate bracket is supposed to be specifically the winch with states that require a front license plate (according to my dealer)

So I got mine installed today. 4 hours by myself. Jack and rolly chair came in handy for the winch and bumper reinstall. the plastic valance fix is in the pics below. Overall, not a terrible install, and I am no mechanic. The plastic covers are on BO from the accident Jan14th.

The fairlead appears to be held to the fairlead mounting bracket by 2 acorn nuts. Does anyone know if it's safe/advisable to remove these 2 nuts? Is it easy to take the fairlead off and reinstall it without any additional hassle? The reason I ask is because I finally received my "drop style" license plate bracket, but it appears I need to remove the fairlead in order to get the bracket hooks into the slots that are under the bottom side of the fairlead. Thoughts?

I'll be finding out today. I hate cheap fasteners and the acorn nuts and bolts affixing the fairlead are rusty. I'll be removing one today to measure and order stainless....standby and I'll report back.
