Winch Install!

Fordseniormaster I looked the install over on mine and everything was top notch. However the tech left off the center trim piece but I have it.

How hard is it to install after the fact?

I’ll be sharing this thread with the folks at Woolwine Ford in Collins, MS. My winch is there and waiting on my Tremor in the next week or so! Thanks for the great write up!

It will have to be trimmed just a little but not a big deal to do, if u have any problems PM me and I’ll give u my number
 
Looks like the only difference between a vehicle with active cruise vs mine is that the driver side hook cover is shorter? Correct me if I’m wrong!

I found it. My post got all screwed up asking what that red thing was but I tried Googling it and finally worded it right. I still don’t know what to tell the tiny Ford dealer service dept

that I bought my truck from on the slight trimming needed for the winch install. I saw Fordseniormasters pics of the right way and the wrong way. I didn’t really see the difference. But I want it done correctly with my fully loaded F-350 Platinum that’s so darn expensive. Any info would be great. I’m going to get one of these for my rig. I like the bronze one better IMO. Thanks for posting pics. I too do not want to have my hook attached to the side bracket.

Shhhhhhh Wifey has just about had enough of it. It has become a very sore subject. She still doesn’t know about the Methods with 37” Ridge Grapplers that are coming in any day now and NO WHERE TO STORE THEM but her WOMAN CAVE.
That’s right. I had to give her a room when I had built my Gym and had the garage until I got her a new Mustang Convertible. My Jaguar has to sit out in the driveway with snow all over it so we can preserve with rag top. See Donny gives in. ?????????

May be a stupid question, but is there a good spot to put license plate if you have winch and adaptive cruise? I ordered 2021 6.7 Lariat with and in Washington they require front license plate. From the photos, doesn't appear to be.

I too have the same issue and wonder the same thing. Thankfully not having a front license plate is a secondary offense where I live. I guess if it becomes an issue I’ll buy one of those flip down ones that attach to the winch. Until then, winch on!
 
i was wandering the same thing i purchased my truck off a dealer lot but i want to get the winch when you can get it. does anyone know when you will b able to get the winch after the fact
 
I’m in that Liberal State of NY. We have a 2 license plate rule also BUT I got it anyway and will figure this shit out eventually. We have a lot of Police in our family but do not want to have to use their PBA cards and shields If I don’t need too. So get it and figure it out later. To each his own. Good luck with your BEASTS BUILD. ??????

My dealer finally did hear about the transmission TSB. Unfortunately for me, it's in the shop waiting for the parts. Parts guy says 1-2 weeks for parts, I hope it's only that long.

On another note, would you happen to have the part number for the trim piece on drivers side of the winch? It's the plastic piece that covers that whole area across where the adaptive unit would be- and right to the edge of the winch. I ask my dealer parts guy and he said he couldn't find it available

From the research I did the flip down/up one wont fit. The Ford winch is not a standard fairlead, its 8" on center vs 10".
