What’s in your gun safe?

progress on my vault room while im off work. besides the 2 safes.
Shit I’ll volunteer my time to sit in there and clean and have you sign an Itemized acquisition every time you want to take something out. What a gorgeous set up.

Looks good, probably a lot of fun. I have bought guns on less justification.

Trying not to dump on this, but as barrel length decreases, 5.56 turns into a very loud .22 long rifle. IMO a pistol caliber carbine is a better truck gun. For example , CZ Scorpion with a 1.5x ACOG on it. 30 round magazine is my truck/camper gun.
.300 AAC shines out of suppressed shorties. 5.56 out of anything less than 10.3” has been deemed useless but with the technology in ammo evolving so much, namely the 77g OTM I think there’s a push for shorter 5.56’s coming too.

Not my thing anymore I have too many damn intermediate SBR’s as it is. I want a shorty 12gauge. And .308.

MR556 /762 please! Last SBR’s I’ll ever need

This thread just makes me even more and more and more sad about where I live lol
I saw some BS about accessories now have to go through an FFL in CA. Didn't read it carefully, came from Gun Broker, and I have CA blocked for my listings. I sell a lot of reloading press accessories to CA.

I met a pretty chill dude from CA last year at a big dirt bike meetup in Nevada. Maybe 7-8 years younger than me so probably late 20s, worked for NSA, was a comms guy in the military before that. He brought out some pretty cool stuff to shoot. None of it was "legal" in CA 🤷‍♂️

I would never advocate for ignoring unjust laws, though. Ever. That would be wrong.

Yeah that place becomes more of a nightmare by the day. So funny when 80% blanks and stuff first came out we were building them left and right in Southern California. God forbid someone has a hobby.

I need to find a good use for these

Most fun range trip I ever had was with an ATF guy that had access to their vault in Houston. MP-40s, grease guns, Tommy’s, M16’s, Uzis….it was a glorious but expensive day.

Shoot man. Those are tracer rounds for shotguns. I'm sure you can find a good use for those on a moonless night! ;)
I was thinking they are the perfect tool to set a brush pile on fire from about 40 yards , after dousing it with 3-4 gallons of GASOLINA

That is true. Tried to buy a slide for my Glock and they wouldn't even sell to CA.

Oh, it's a real thing out here as of Jan. 1 or this summer. I can't keep up with the insanity that continues from Sacramento to further transmogrify this once-glorious state.

But I don't wanna get political.

Hence I vote with my feet. Not a sudden pullout (no! Optimus.) but an evolution as I get to know in intimate detail the route from here to there across the great Mojave desert. Funny, that trek was once reserved for the very hearty pioneer who sought the nirvana of California. Now? It's the other way 'round.

I have seen forwarders in the Miami area that buy for customers and the ship (smuggle I don't know how) into Latin areas.

I don't see how CA could enforce these new requirements. A non-serialized item isn't likely to meet the burden of proof requirements. Maybe some kind of organized black market might draw CA attention, how would they know for one guy buying a slide?

Just had a new toy built. Need to finish it out and get it dialed in.
